On the other side is the sun room with lots of cozy seating and TV for movie night. The master bedroom and bath are on the main level, along with a half bath off the entry and kitchen. The upper level offers 3 more bedrooms, each with their own attached baths. Everyone gets their own space here! On the wing off the kitchen is another small sitting area, the laundry room which has a double stack and another half bath. Take the stairs from here up to the bunk room, which the kids will love! There are 4 sets of bunks (2 twin and 2 double), a sitting area with TV, and a large bath. The closest town is Marion on the McDowell side, and the City of Morganton on the Burke side. Both are up and coming with an active downtown where you can enjoy local shops, dining, breweries and wine shops. Other area attractions include: Biltmore House, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk are just an hour away. Your eye goes directly to the water! There are upper and lower decks on the rear of the home, facing the lake, and both offer seating options. These decks have just been updated and expanded! The private dock offers space to keep a rented boat. **The owner has a 25ft Bennington pontoon available for an additional daily fee of $450 or ask about a weekly discount. This rental is separate from the Vrbo booking. Ask the agent to refer you to the boat contact where you can discuss exact pricing.**The gated community is privately maintained and roads must be shared. This is a one lane road with turnouts and directional signs for owners. Directions will be supplied prior to arrival date. The main level offers a den off the entryway with lake views, a large bedroom with 2 beds to one side, and 2 additional bedrooms on the other side. We raise sheep, goats, horses, blueberries, and mixed vegetables. Guests are welcome to meet the critters, pick berries in season, and help themselves to whatever is growing.
