These sensors remain OFF during all reservations while the alarm system is inactive.–––– WELCOME ––––Our 100-year-old home, though greatly cared for, shows its age in some places, especially on the floors. Expect loving wear, quaint aging, and a charming patina inside and outside. The two main entrances have several steps to access them, as the home is built on a hill. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms are located on the main floor, and one bedroom with two twin beds is located upstairs.The room names mean "Happy Blessed Life [on the] Riverbank."ABIGAIL (Happy) - Queen-sized bed with blush velvet bedding, velvet curtains, gold ceiling, and panoramic windows.BENOIT (Blessed) - King-sized bed with champagne gold velvet bedding, velvet curtains, antique light, TV, and extra seating. Opens to the front porch with seating.VIVIENNE (Life) - Queen-sized bed with green velvet bedding and curtains, custom-designed egret mural on the ceiling with large windows.DEVERAUX SUITE (Riverbank): This suite features a king-sized bed with champagne-gold velvet bedding and velvet curtains, a custom-designed egret mural above the bed and on the ceiling, antique lights, a TV, a mini fridge, a Keurig, dishes, a bathroom with a shower, and extra seating. It opens to a deck with seating and a keyless private entrance.Upstairs Room: Two twin XL beds with carpet flooring. If needed, you can request an optional extra full-size floor mattress. Let us know before check-in so we can provide the bedding.Kitchen: Gas stove, side-by-side refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, front-load washer and dryer, dishes, cookware, bakeware, Keurig.Dining Room: Seats 11. Take a horse drawn carriage tour, river boat cruise, tour the historic homes. Stroll down to take a look at the Steel Magnolia House. There is so much to do and see in close proximity. The apartment is nestled inside of a historic home built in the early 1900s. Clementine is a comfortable escape with all of the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. This is a private apartment and is not a shared space. There are three private apartments located within this home and yours is Unit C in the rear of the house.Enter through the door and into a large open living space. There is a dining table and four chairs on your left for enjoying meals with family and friends. There is a large island with 4 bar stools. The right side is your living room with a sofa and two chairs. There is a 55” Roku TV on the wall. It is in guest mode and ready for you to stream all of your favorite shows. Cable TV is not provided.The kitchen is a galley style and is equipped with dishes, pots & pans, microwave and taster. There is a dual K-cup single cup coffee maker alongside a traditional coffee pot. We will provide K-cups, creamer and sugar to get you started. If you prefer ground coffee, bring your favorite along with you. Kitchen does not have a dishwasher. There is a refrigerator/freezer and it does not have an ice maker. There is a kettle on the stove for boiling water. The first bedroom has a Queen bed and night stand. The second bedroom has a Queen bed and two night stands with USB ports and outlets to charge all of your devices. The lamps are touch activated. There is a closet with a hanging rod, iron and small ironing board in the rear bedroom. You will also find a luggage rack in both bedrooms to make living out of a suitcase a bit easier. The bathroom is located just inside the first bedroom.****** Please note that you do have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other. This does not allow for privacy in the first bedroom. *** It is a shotgun style layout. There is a vanity and custom tile shower in the bathroom. There is no tub in this unit. The barn door on the bathroom locks from the inside. We do provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a blow dryer. Towels and washcloths are provided.Clementine has been recently renovated. We feature the art of Clementine Hunter in the living, dining and kitchen areas. All framed photos were taken by the host during her many trips to Natchitoches over the years. There are beautiful wide plank floors and rugs throughout the common areas and carpeting in the bedrooms. A beautiful spiral staircase winds it way to the downstairs floor where you will find a spacious den with a queen sleeper sofa, bar area with mini-fridge, big screen TV, bedroom and bath.The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need to cook and create a magnificent meal. There is a five burner gas range top, 2 built in electric ovens, microwave, large refrigerator, dishwasher and plenty of pots, pans and cooking utensils.The 3 bedrooms are large at 200-225 sq ft each and the master and downstairs bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms. Each bedroom is equipped with a king size bed and feature Casper mattresses, luxurious linens and flat screen televisions. All the bedrooms have french doors that open out onto rear porches and the river.All three bathrooms have large walk in tile showers with bench seats. The bathrooms have plenty of storage space and are stocked with plush bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths. The master bath also features a generous soaking tub. There are double vanities in each bathroom so everyone has plenty of room. A commercial sized tank-less water heater ensures that you will never run out of hot water.Outside, the rear porches both upstairs and down, run the width of the house at 60'. there are plenty of seating options, and it is a very relaxing spot for morning coffee. Behind the carport is a gorgeous new 16X27 deck with a patio table and chairs, charcoal grill. There is a private pier/boat dock at the river, and it is a great spot to get in a little fishing.We have a no pet policy, however family pets have visited the property, so we cannot guarantee it is allergen free. The cleaning crew will sweep, mop and vacuum between each guest.
