"Stayed 9 days and wish it could have been longer. Extremely friendly, smiley and very helpful staff and owners. Anna and Spiros have the whole place running like clockwork and ensure that the guests come first. Special mention to Thomas the very jolly and chatty barman/waiter and special thanks Athena and Dimitrios on reception, excellent. The pool is great, the whole place is cleaned thoroughly all the time. We didn’t eat in the restaurant so can’t comment generally but we didn’t have a couple of club sandwiches which were excellent and a spaghetti carbonara …..served very professionally in our room. 10/10"

Great breakfast carefully varied with many local products and exceptional flavors. Dimitris and Maria were excellent hosts; caring, concerned and helpful. We don’t usually want advice or recommendations, but Dimitri was excellent. He took time and thoroughly explained and showed us how to appreciate the island. His recommendations were very beneficial and made our stay much better. Dimitris and Maria took care of us and their hotel as they would like to be treated."

"We stayed in the hotel rooms. All had balconies overlooking the sea. The rooms were spacious, but it's a shame the cleanliness was decidedly lacking. There was old dust on the bedside tables and in the closet. We had a problem with ants throughout our stay, constantly present in the bathroom and often in the bedroom as well. The location was excellent, just steps from the beach. The breakfast buffet could be improved; there was no fresh fruit, only canned fruit."

"Super family run hotel, with commanding views of Agia Pelagia and the coast line of northern Kythira. The hotel is spotlessly clean and though we never used it, has a wonderful swimming pool on a sunny terrace affording great views down to the town, the sea and coast. The breakfast buffet is of a high standard, with plenty of choice. And I purposely leave the best until last. My wife and I have visited Greece for over 40 years, and we say without doubt, that the beds at Kythea Resort are the best and most comfortable, by far, that we have experienced in all that time. The linen and comfort they afford is of the highest standard. Highly recommended hotel."

"We spent three night in family . We really enjoyed the stay. This is as family owned hotel with very very kind and nice people. They take care of everything. They do everything to help and make our stay unique. The hotel is very clean, the breakfast is excellent and the service is perfect. The rooms are large with a full kitchen and living area, plus a spacious bedroom and a great balcony. "Unfortunately a personal crisis prevailed the following day after my arrival which meant I had booked for 3 nights but had to depart after one night. The owners were very understanding and kind. They await my arrival back to Anemes to collect my belongings. The accommodation was superb / spotlessly clean with a magnificent huge breakfast provided. I thoroughly recommend Anemes: a beautiful quiet location at a very reasonable price."

"My wife and I first stayed here back in the noughties and have been visiting on and off ever since. I has become one of the regular places to which we return, having fallen a little in live with it, and knowing that we can rely on the placee and the people. The proprietor, Andreas, could not be friendlier or more helpful - for instance, he will help you get a hire car, with a discount. He is also an excellent, and reliable, guide to various places of interest across the island, including the best tavernas, etc. The apartments are always spotlessly clean (the cleaner came every day) and well appointed (very modern bathroom, unlike some places). the location is superb - two minutes walk from the sandy beach. There's a tiny mini market in Diakofti for vital supplies (wine/beer) and there is a classy beach cafe/bar and a refreshments hut at each end of the beach. Also there's Manoli's taverna, again, on the front, a further two mins walk from the main beach, which has a limited, but delicious menu, although it is a tad light on vegetarian options. Bear in mind Diakofti is a relatively quiet place, which is exactly what we're looking for, but if you want a party town, look elsewhere. It is a good base if you like hiking, and various routes are discretely marked around the Diakofti area and throughout the island (again, Andreas can advise on this). In the shoulder seasons, it can be blissfully deserted, but you're taking a chance weather-wise. On the other hand, in July/Aug the beach can get busy, but most people get the vibe and behave themselves, treating others respectfully. Very highly recommended. Dom Long, Cheltenham, UK."

"Kithira is a beautiful island, a real greek experience. Crystal water and a lot of beaches, some with structure (but never “invasive”) some fully natural. Lidea is the ideal location. All places are within 30 mins reach. Lidea is a real jewel, with everything you may need, modern and at the same time very traditional. A garden with a lot of plants and flowers. The owners are extremely kind and providing a lot of suggestions on the island. The breakfast in the morning in the garden is rich: everyday there is something new, freshly home cooked. We really consider to return in the future."
