ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! Even the rep - whom we only seen on the 5th day of our holiday told us he is sick of the hotel too, all he gets is complaints from the holidaymakers and nothing is improved, he told us he would NEVER eat at the buffet!! Before arriving at this hotel we had read the reviews about staff, food etc but we always like to give a place the benefit of the doubt. Within 5 minutes of reaching reception, we realised the reviews were correct!! No welcome drink - standard at 5* resorts, the lady behind the desk was very pleasant, took our passports and then returned 10 mins later to tell us her shift had finished and her colleague 'Ishmael' (not certain - but photo attached) would be with us soon. This was after midnight. We had a 2 year old and a 2 month old with us! Eventually, the man came and handed us two cards for our rooms and 2 cards for towels - there were 5 in our group. When we questioned this, he said he doesn't understand and come back tomorrow. The golf cart came to collect us, drove us to our rooms - obviously a family would be given 2 rooms together??????? No!! My daughter, her partner and their children were dropped in one place and I was taken almost a mile away, cases dropped at the bottom of a huge flight if stairs and told my room was "up there" Thank God for the lovely couple who happened to becoming back to their room and the man carried my cases up the stairs for me or I would still be there!!!!!!!!! On inspection of my room, I realised that the actual balcony doors were not attached to the frame, so even if the door was locked, the windows moved on either side so anyone could have come into my room. I rang reception, and 'Ishmael' asked me what he wanted me to do about it? As this was happening, my daughter and family had been given a room where a German family was already staying!!!!! We all went back to reception to complain and the man told us, " you can't move, we don't have room, you wait til tomorrow' we asked for the manager, he said No manager he sleeping - come to find out the manager was the man who took us in the cart and left me at the bottom of the stairs!! I could go on forever with this review, but I will now keep it brief: Buffet - disgraceful, dirty dishes, inedible food, cold food, cats running all.over the places, no queuing system, no waiter service - standard in 5*, dirty tables all over, nowhere to sit etc, etc Rooms are very in need of updating to a better standard, and health and safety desperately needs to be addressed with security. We had a 2 month and 2 year old with us - NO COTS PROVIDED?????? Had to call reception twice about the water being brown?? The management/reception is probably - no, definitely - the most unprofessional, rudest staff I have ever met in all the years I've travelled abroad!! My cleaner was lovely!! Kept my room clean and looked after me!! She needs to be promoted. The barstaff were lovely, very hard working! One bartender serving a
