Roundstone House Hotel

The best part of our stay at Vaughan's Roundstone House Hotel was that everyone at the hotel (in particular the Vaughan's themselves who worked the front desk, the bar, the restaurant...) were extremely friendly and helpful. It was as if they were hosting us at their home. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel even publishes its own walking guide for the area (which we used). Our Seaview Deluxe Room overlooked the town and the bay, which is just what we wanted. The pub was cozy and the restaurant (where we had dinner and breakfast) was outstanding. We don't usually eat dinner in hotel restaurants but we are glad we did. Of all the hotels we stayed in during our two-week Ireland trip this one was the best, not because it was the fanciest, but because it made us feel like we were in a home away from home.

Excellent dinner! We have eaten here many times and it never disappoints . On Saturday evening there were four of us and we all had fish mains, and a mix of crab, goats cheese or scallops for starters. I got the last Turbot, fabulous😍 delicious. Excellent service by Siobhan, Diarmuid and the team, already booked a few more dates in the diary!!!

Lovely hotel and great staff and a great breakfast...Only problem we had was a barking dog at 1 am in the morning on both nights...The dog did not belong to the hotel but as our bedroom overlooked the back of the hotel it must be near a housing estate

Hotel was a very good place to stay not too far from Kylemore Abbey( about 1hr car). Room was clean with superb view of the ocean. Breakfast was great and healthy, and also with excelent view of the ocean. Checkin and checkout were simple and quickly done.

My wife and I ( and a friend from Perth WA) had 3 wonderful days in Roundstone House Hotel. This was a return trip after 2 years. We were welcomed by the owners son and our bedrooms had a wonderful view over Roundstone harbour. Up early for swims in Gurteen Beach, then back for a truly hearty breakfast. Excellent walks and cycle trips locally. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. A special mention of the Restaurant run by Cynthia - we had superb seafood each night - the freshness of the sea food was to die for. Could not give this place enough praise. We will be back again.

Very spacious rooms and friendly stuff and a very helpfull owner. He helped me to solve a problem I had with the Hotel in Glendalough. The rooms are very spacious and peacelful, most of then with lovely sea view. I was there with a group of 10 people and they were all very happy with their stay.
