A great place to stay. However, if you have heavy luggage, you might want to reconsider as there are some stairs to navigate.

Budget friendly but not exactly the ryokan we are looking for. Room is not exactly japanese style, and the ryokan breakfast is still much below expectation.

Arima Onsen, the location is pretty good and the price is reasonable too.

I stayed in the hotel for one night and absolutely loved it. I got a beautiful room in Japanese style, clean and spacious. I saw some reviews mentioning that the location is a bit remote. Well, it is not in the middle of the "tourist steet", but it is very close to it and you get some privacy. It is true that you might struggle with your suitcases a bit since you need to go upstairs to get there. The hotel has it's own little garden, which is beautifully designed. Don't rely too much on the bathtub if you are looking for a private onsen option. It didn't feel very clean and I enjoyed a common spa area in the town more. I recieved a free ticket to the common spa after check in, by the way.

Clean and nice. Stone bath is good. 金の湯 is just around the corner. Good restaurants around the hotel too. 

Stairs only. Not recommended for travellers with heavy luggage.

The room has its own private bathtub and stone bath, but since the hotel provides bathing vouchers for either the Kin no Yu (Golden Bath) or Gin no Yu (Silver Bath), I didn't use the stone bath. The hotel is also very close to Kin no Yu. The air conditioning is individual, and basic appliances are provided. Although it's a basement room, it's not as bad as some people say. Because the hotel is situated on higher ground, there are still windows that can be opened, and there's a small private garden near the stone bath. Besides the stairs, there's also a ramp leading to the hotel (near the Tenjin Spring). The environment is very tranquil, with chairs outside for resting and enjoying the breeze. However, the sink is not very large, and water tends to splash when washing your face.

Great place, I was very pleased! I'd love to come back again. Location: The bus to Arima stops at the bridge, from there it's a 10-15 minute uphill climb, three flights of stairs. It's inconvenient if you have large suitcases; it's best to leave them somewhere. The hotel has a very atmospheric atmosphere, and the view from the veranda is stunning. Amenities: They give one pass to the onsen (golden onsen), it's 5 minutes away, and it's fantastic (don't forget to bring masks and lotions; I didn't see any in the onsen itself). I went there in my hotel yukata, although I haven't seen anyone like it anywhere else 😁 The hotel itself is clean, has all the necessary amenities, and the futon is super soft – I slept wonderfully. The building and furniture are not new, but for a ryokan of this type, that's understandable. Service: The hostess speaks Japanese and Chinese; her English isn't great, but it's perfectly adequate for basic needs. I didn't bring any food, I stayed for one night in a room (8) on the ground floor - it was spacious, with a view from the window of a fence with ivy, but this didn't spoil the atmosphere, as the room was quite sunny.

The accommodation was very comfortable and tranquil. The breakfast was beautifully presented, plentiful, and delicious. The hotel is within walking distance of both the Kinyu and Ginyu hot springs; turn left after exiting the hotel to reach Tenjin Spring Source, and follow the slope down to the hot spring town. The location is relatively quiet despite being in a bustling area.

Perhaps because I arrived late, there was no one at the front desk, so I called the phone number listed, but no one answered. I waited a while and called again, and a woman from China answered the phone, saying she'd be right there, and then came running out the door a few minutes later. The slippers from the entrance to the room were fake Crocs-like, which bothered me, but other than that, I had a comfortable stay.

The Japanese-style rooms are located in Arima Onsen, but it's a little inconvenient to get up there. If you're carrying luggage, it's best to call the owner beforehand to confirm. It's very close to Taiko no Yu (Taiko-no-Yu Bath), and the owner will give you a complimentary ticket to the Kinyu Bath. The owner is Chinese and very warm and friendly. The rooms are clean, and the private onsen (hot spring bath) is large and very comfortable.

The staff were very polite, the amenities were all there, and the room was spacious and comfortable! We were even given tickets to the hot springs!

The location is relatively hidden, but those who like quiet will be delighted. It is not very friendly to those with large suitcases because they have to climb the stairs. There is a winding courtyard at the entrance, which makes people relax. The hotel is located next to the hot spring temple. My room is on the underground first floor. The weather is very cold, the corridor is not warm enough, and the heating system of the room is also generally expected to be upgraded. There is a very loud and low-powered heater and a stove for heating. The bathroom is particularly cold because it cannot be heated. The design and hardware materials of the bathroom are simple, generous and upscale. The room is a classic tatami, which is OK for two people to sleep. It’s just that the public area of ​​the room is a little narrow and the suitcases are just full when spread out. The rooms in Japan are not big, so you need to get used to it. I forgot whether the receptionist was from Fujian or Taiwan. The service was super good and considerate. She spoke softly and gave the most pleasant enjoyment to the whole journey. She would give a lot of travel suggestions and answer every question. It is not an exaggeration to say that this store has a soul because of this lady.
