Excellent hiking trails and cycle paths are easily accessible from our family-run hotel. The Garmisch-Partenkirchen ski area is 5.6 mi away from our Hotel Alpenhof.
There is a pizzeria in the house, which is not operated by us.
There are enough parking spaces available and are free of charge. Our sauna is only open in the winter season.

This small hotel is located close to Oberammergau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. We found the room to be vey clean, and there was a nice balcony with a view over a little garden. The price is acceptable, but not budget. Check-in is uncomplicated, and the lady at the reception was pleasant and professional. The beds are comfortable, and breakfast is good. One problem at this place is the problem to get internet connection.(We would have very much needed this in order to check in for an upcoming flight connection.) When we asked for help, the response of the gentleman who manages this hoteln was rather grumpy and unsupportive: he had spent so much money, and here we were complaining!! We could clearly see from our computers, that all that was needed was a password, but he was unwilling to give this to us.

Stayed at the village of Oberau at the Hotel Alpenhof before attending the Passion Play in nearby Oberramergau. Delightful village. Delightful night life. Unique hotel. Stayed there with friends and had a grand time. Would stay there again. Good dining nearby, as well. Particularly the La Caprese.

We stayed here during our visit to the Passion play. The hotel has clean, comfortable accommodation, and is only 10km from Oberammergau. The bus station is about 1.5km from the hotel, an easy walk if you do not have to carry any luggage.

The worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Certainly not 3*. The hotel stank of cigarette smoke. The rooms of damp and something I couldn’t identify. The carpet was sticky. Thankfully we overlooked the garden and we had a balcony to sit on! No kettle or hot drink making facilities available in the room or ‘hotel’; no high speed internet (as advertised) rather a very poor intermittent connection. The breakfast was ok, as was the dining room generally and dining staff were very helpful and friendly. Extremely disappointed. Would not recommend staying here.

We stayed for two nights recently for the Passion Play at Oberammagu. We arrived to the stench of cigarette smoke and all our keys were just chucked on the reception desk to sort ourselves out. When we got to our room, it too stank of smoke which had infiltrated the bedding. The room was very dated with old carpets. There was a load of paint that had fallen off the wall at the back of the television. The shower drain smelt making it very unpleasant to shower in. Breakfast was very mediocre. At 6.30am each morning we were woken up by the building site opposite and we had to keep the window wide open due to the smoke. There was only one pillow on each bed with no spares. I cannot believe this place has a three star rating. It should not have any. The Wi-Fi was also very intermittent. My husband and I did not enjoy the stay at all and were glad to leave.

Das war das schlechteste Hotel in dem ich jemals gewesen bin. Wir waren auf der Durchreise und sind spontan hier eingekehrt. Parken gestaltet sich schon mal schwierig, nach langer Suche haben wir im angrenzenden Wohngebiet einen Stellplatz gefunden. Angebliches Nichtraucher Hotel, am Eingang beim Check in riecht alles nach Rauch. Der Herr am Eingang war sehr verhalten und wirkte extrem lustlos eher genervt. Angeblicher Wellnessbereich sei aktuell defekt! Im Hotel gibt es kein Aufzug. Im gesamten Hotel richt es muffig und alles wirkt schmuddelig und verlebt. Die Zimmer sind nicht schön und laden auch nicht zum verweilen ein. Möbel wirken wie vom Sperrmüll. Betten unbequem und muffig. Bad stellenweise heruntergekommen. Dachfenster lässt sich nicht richtig öffnen. Duschkopf lässt sich nicht arretieren. Handtücher riechen unangenehm. Eigentlich will man hier nichts benutzen. Balkon muss man sich mit weiteren Gästen teilen, keine Privatsphäre. Andere Gäste könnten über Gemeinschaftsbalkon in das eigene Zimmer gelangen. Frühstück durchweg schlecht. Keinerlei frischen Produkte. Alles vom günstigsten Discounter gekauft und hingelegt. Frühstücksraum war extrem ungemütlich und schmuddelig. Die Dame in der Küche war sehr bemüht was es aber auch nicht mehr herausgerissen hat. Kartenzahlung obwohl angegeben nicht möglich. Ich kann dieses Hotel niemanden empfehlen und würde hier auch nicht noch einmal einkehren. Das was man hier den Gästen zumutet ist eine Frechheit.

Najgorszy hotel w jakim byłam. Dla obsługi ważniejszy był mecz w TV, a rano kobieta nawet nie słuchała moich uwag tylko się odwróciła. Pokój brudny zamieniony z wielką łaską na nie bardziej czysty gdyby nie była to noc nie została bym tam. Nie polecam.
