Hotel Arches

This was a last-minute booking for a two-day stay, and I chose this hotel for convenience. Front desk service was excellent and the location is great. However, the rooms need updated linen, as it appeared old and worn. Hot water and water pressure were good. Outside my room, extra beds, linen, and what appeared to be cleaning materials were stored, which did not create a good impression.

Hotel Arches is a great place to stay if you’re visiting Fort Kochi.  Fantastic location near a lot of tourist attractions, shopping and cafes. Kerala Cafe is literally next door. The staff are very kind and helpful.  Checkin was quick and easy.  The room is basic but very clean.  Bed was firm, lots of pillows and comfortable.  Room faced the street but was pretty quiet and had no trouble sleeping. Aircon worked well and the room was stocked with water. No wash cloths which could be added as well as a safety deposit box…didn’t see one but also didn’t ask so it could have been there.  Hotel felt very safe even as a solo woman traveler.  I would definitely stay there again.

Rooms are small with a nice balcony area, the hotel is friendly and on a good street which is quiet and within a few minutes of a nice street where there are lots of restaurants. The food place next door is also very good!!

Hotel Arches is conveniently located in easy walking distance from the Chinese Fishing nets, Kathakali performances and the hustle and bustle of the small shops and cafes. It is a tuk tuk ride away from Jew Town, the Dutch Palace, spice markets and other tourist sites. The hotel itself has old worldly charm but is well maintained, clean and comfortable. It is great value. The rooms are ensuite, can be double or twin and have everything you need including enough well situated plugs, tea and coffee etc. Shower has good hot water. There is a laundry services A buffet breakfast is served on the rooftop and has a good range of food. The hotel also has a restaurant on the ground floor which serves delicious lunches and dinners. However the best feature of the Hotel Arches is the staff. Right from the manager to the person who carries your suitcase, they are pleasant and helpful... managements go the extra mile to ensure your stay is hassle free. No question is too many. I would highly recommend Team Arches and the hotel.
