Serenity Resort Koh Chang

Super hotel, on the northern part of the island, very beautiful, quiet and secluded, there is a feeling that you are alone there, the sea is not so beautiful, but it is because of the brown sand, 5-10 minutes to the ferry, there is only one shop nearby, waterfalls. Bikes can be rented at the hotel.

Serenity resort Amazing hotel - would highly recommend staying here. We stayed at serenity resort for 2 nights on arriving at Koh Chang from Bangkok. The location is so so idyllic and relaxing, absolutely beautiful. We also stayed on the west side of the island for a couple of nights and while it is quieter on the east side of the island (ie, there is no point in leaving the resort in the evening as there is nothing really to do on the east side after dark) this is exactly what we were after. The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. Food and drinks at the restaurant were great and reasonably priced. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Lovely view. As other reviews have said, if you are staying here you will likely want your own transport so you can explore. We rented a moped from the resort at a very reasonable price. If you want to rent a car make sure you have an intl driving permit (takes a few mins to obtain but must do whilst in the UK). There’s barely any traffic on this side of the island so the drive down to long beach at the south of the island felt very safe on a moped despite the hills (and would be the same in a car). The resort staff recommended us to do this and then get kayaks over to Koh ngam, which we did and was a great experience! The other option is to rent a taxi for a day (we were quoted c2500 baht for 6 hours) and they can drop you wherever you like and wait for you. Thanks again for a lovely stay at serenity resort!!

My husband and I spent 2 months travelling around Thailand and Serenity Resort was one of our favourite hotels! The bungalows were the perfect size, the beds the comfiest we experienced in Thailand (European soft but firm enough to not hurt your back) 🥰 We were lucky enough to meet the owner, and he and the staff were truly delightfull and very accommodating! We were looking to get away from crowds and explore the "empty & wild" side of the island, and this was the perfect place for us. Thank you Stephen and team!!

Serenity is well named. A quiet luxurious stay on Koh Chang amidst great rooms, great food and great service. We’ve stayed twice now and will come again. The location is brilliant with early morning sunrises and a great beach and infinity pool. The food is the best you can get and covers a wide range of dishes. Breakfast lunch and dinner so many choices at excellent value. The whole team are happy to help. There are busier touristy resorts close by to enjoy them peace and quiet at night. This is our ‘happy place’. Thanks Steve Tiph and team. Amazing
