Any place depends on the hotel staff. Here, in a modest hotel, I received 5-star service. The receptionist booked a transfer from Bangkok to this hotel for me, so I didn't have to worry about getting to the island. No other expensive hotel responded to my questions through trip.com. Although the hotel is a 5-minute walk to the beach, this is its advantage when in the evening you are next to the best restaurant on the island. The restaurant is expensive, but the chef, bartender, and waiters did a great job. Always use a Thai translator. English is not spoken here, only senior hotel managers do.

We arrived around 12 PM and were able to check in after only a 30-minute wait, which was great! The room was clean, and the bathroom was really big and spacious. However, a few more shelves or hooks would have been very practical; it felt cramped, and we had to keep our stuff on the floor. The location could be better, unfortunately not directly on the beach, you have to walk a bit. There are no private sun loungers, etc. The area is pretty dead; apart from beach bars and restaurants, there's nothing else around.

Although the hotel isn't huge, the grounds are well-maintained. The rooms are small (like most on the island, to be fair), but the bathrooms are massive, and both have been recently renovated. There are no TVs. Breakfasts are decent, almost homemade. The hotel offers scooter rentals and various beach essentials like inflatable mats and balls. There's a restaurant right next door and a roadside cafe not far away, and the prices were a pleasant surprise (not expensive for the island). S Beach is a short walk from the hotel, and the water there is incredibly clear. There's a massage service on the beach (prices are standard for the island, not cheap if you compare to Pattaya, Koh Chang, or Bangkok). The location is great because it's a short scooter ride to any of the beaches, waterfalls, etc. Highly recommend!

Very kind owner. Close to the beach, restaurants, and massage places. You can rent a scooter for 300 baht per day. The small garden is very cute. They have little cats, and it's very well located with no traffic noise. Breakfast is available for 200 baht.

Really small rooms, cleaning is not performed if you don’t ask for it, they just provide water and toilet paper. For the price can be found much better hotel in Koh Kood.

Great Bed, Amazing new. Good location, 2 minutes walk to the beach. Little room for bags, who cares head to the beach. Bike hire from reception 👌, is a must. 2☆☆. Thanks for the stay, HAPPY DAYS KOH KOOD.

Surprisingly, I really liked the hotel! No, it doesn't look super luxurious, but it's very clean and freshly renovated. The only downsides were the non-Instagrammable view and the repetitive breakfast, but everything else was a huge plus! The location is superb; it's easy to get to all the beaches (we even walked across the entire western part from here without any problems). There are many delicious cafes nearby with various price points. By the way, one of the most beautiful beaches is right next to the hotel, and there's also a river nearby where you can go canoeing.
