If you want the best get the room with the view!

Well located family run hotel. Beach location. Roof terrace. Close to all amenities. Central village location. Various restaurants and cafes all within walking distance. A couple of pubs near. Multiple 7/11’s to hand. Taxi boats at this stunning location.

The location is wonderful. Night market is cool. Some of stuff is nice, other don’t speak English well. All in common is well.

Awful experience- the room advertised on Trip.com was not that I was given on arrival. I have notified Trip.com as this really ruined my time- the room offered was directly onto the road, dark, and very cheap furniture and bed, looked like it had been salvaged from a tip of roadside. When I complained, an extremely arrogant English man, presumably the owner, told me ‘it was a matter of opinion’, that the rooms were different. I left without refund and had to book another room. False advertising, scam. Don’t book here

A nice location, clean and spacious room, great view. The part of the Chaloklum beach the hotel has access to is not the best, but it's easy to walk to Malibu or the one to the right from the pier. There's also a nice rooftop area with even better views. A construction site is nearby, and there's a sign with apologies for the inconveniences caused by it in the hotel, but honestly I haven't heard any noise from it.

There is so much to like and a few things to be warned about in this property. The first is that the location, Chaloklum beach, is very remote and will be difficult to get to from Thong Sala pier unless you are traveling with a large group. However, that remoteness is very much the appeal of this area for me, as it is once of the quietest beaches I’ve ever experienced. The second thing to note is that the hotel rooms shows it’s age, with a cracking bath tile for the jacuzzi and balcony doors that barely work. The hotel room only had one plug as well, and the hair dryer did not work. The last thing I will say though is that the view really is unbeatable; you open your curtains and see one of the most beautiful sights you can see.

Mandalai it’s a great place to stay. Very clean, organised with friendly staff. Hotel has top location, right on the beach with fantastic local restaurants in the neighbourhood and Sunday market next to it. There are some good hikes, one of them it’s Bottle beach hike. Also good sunset view point 5 min drive. Highly recommend this place

Perfect place for quiet rest

We had a lovely stay here, the staff were very friendly and always willing to help. The beach is right outside, lots of lovely restaurants and bars just down the road. Rooms are spacious although a little shabby. There were also ants which we couldn’t seem to get rid of.
