Fantastic resort, highly recommended. The room is cosy with a comfortable bed. Wet room bathroom with shower gel and shampoo. No kettle or refrigerator in room but hot water available from the restaurant. Restaurant menu was wonderful with a BBQ option every day. Lots of people not staying at Sara opt to eat there. Pool is gorgeous with 4 cabanas with double mattresses available for guests, grab one early! Staff were really friendly and helpful. Kayaks available for free use, kayaked every day.

Everything about the hotel is perfect! The service is great, the breakfast is very nice, and the activities are also fully arranged! The beach is also equipped with mosquito repellent and sunscreen, which is full of details! The only drawback is that the hotel does not have a free shuttle bus to the pier. I hope it can be improved!
Very nice private island and unique, the service is very good đ all they are very helpful, the food was excellent đ

Since there are relatively few Chinese tourists coming to Cambodia, I decided to write a review specifically for friends who are coming here. The hotel is about 15 minutes away from the ferry port. There are four boat trips a day, and you can confirm the time in advance. The price-performance ratio is very high. The sea water is as blue and transparent as Maldives. It is also very cheap, only more than 1,000 yuan. You can rent motorcycles and go out to play. Basically, there are all kinds of activities. The hygiene is also very good. In general, I recommend it.

We had an amazing experience at this hotel and enjoyed every moment of our stay. From the very beginning, we were greeted with exceptionally warm and attentive service, which made us feel truly welcome.
The entire property is beautifully designed and well-maintained, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, offering everything we needed for a perfect stay. The beach was absolutely stunning, with soft sand and crystal-clear waterâideal for relaxation.
Breakfast was also a highlight, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options to choose from.
Overall, we felt completely at ease and appreciated the hotelâs outstanding hospitality.

We were unfortunate to travel during low season, which in Koh Rong means 99% rain everyday, by conversations with locals they are fully aware of this yet all bookings and activities are business as usual but cannot be enjoyed, such as snorkling, BBQ boat etc. because of the weather we were stuck in the hotel 90% of the time, there is NO TV (it does say in room amenities, I read too late) so just be aware, specially if travelling with little ones. The pool is not an option because of thunder and lighting. It costs 15USD to get to the hotel from the pier. There is no ATM on the island only one stall that lets you use your card to pay the local then they give you the money, this is charged at 8% đĄ This is important because for lack of internet connection you cant always use card to pay at restaurant for your lunches and dinner, also when you can, there is a 3% fee to do so. All activities must also be paid in USD but old rugged bills are not accepted even if they have been given to you by other traders ib the island or if the bills got a bit wet in the rain, which was a frequent problem. So come with plenty of new dollars or you'll find yourself stuck with little options. the night before check out, we asked the staff to please let the ferry company know we would be taking the 9:30am ferry to Sihakouville (as instructed by the ferry company). We booked a 9:00am return trip to the pier as recommended. However as we arrived the ferry was leaving, at 9:15. We were not the only ones left behind. Some people had a flight to catch later that day and were made to pay another 17USD per person as according to them it was âimpossibleâ to fit them into one of the almost-empty-boats of one of the other many ferry companies, because they dont work together, some families payed up to 70USD to not miss their flight despite it not being their fault. The hotel was standard, for a beach hotel, nice huts, the beds were clean and comfortable and the highlight was definitely the food at the restaurant, over the 4 days, we tried many dishes all of them delicious. I can imagine during sunny season it must be a beautiful location and a beautiful hotel. saying this, I already thought it was overpriced for low season compared to similar hotels in Thailand and Bali, so for me the price you would pay in high season I would not consider it, specially given the whole experience with the ferry and USDs. âšď¸

The hotel is amazing, just like the pictures they advertise. Room was clean, amenities were good and they even provide a beach hat and beach bag to use while being a guest of the hotel to carry around your things on the island. Is right next to the road to Lazy Beach on the other side of the island. They provide hotel transportation on arrival to ferry pier. The only thing is that communicating with the staff is a bit complicated since they donât answer mails and rarely check their WhatsApp so if you need their transportation, do it in advance.

Our stay was great, the staff was very accommodating. Because the hotel is located in a small remote island, the infrastructure was understandably a bit lacking, such as temporary power outages that would last a minute and loss of water pressure. But again, the staff were quick to mend any situation. The front desk had WhatsApp and that made it easy to communicate with the hotel. They also helped organize ferry and buses for transportation to other cities.

Breakfast is a la carte, British American local three. The hotel's small rowing boat is placed on the beach, and the guests can use it casually, but the safety is also responsible for it. The hotel provides lifesaving clothing. There is no other store on both sides of this hotel, plus the rooms are single-family, especially quiet during the day and night. There are few rooms in this store, so the beach lounge chairs in front of the sea are relatively clean, and the beach sea without one person can also be photographed. The sea is clear, but there are very few fish. The high and low tides change greatly, the shallow water area is very long, and the sand is fine, which is very suitable for children. This location can't see the sunrise on the sea. It is from the bay mountain. The angle is worse. It is a pity. In the afternoon, the mountain on the left will cover the hot sun. It is very good to go to the sea at this time. Hotel lunch is more than a dollar more expensive than several other restaurants on the island, the taste is OK, the environment is better, do not want to go over to eat at the hotel is also very good.

Amazing
SSpectRe44The sea shore is perfect: very nice white sand, comfortable sea entrance that will be very nice for small children. No coral boots needed. Better choose sun beds not close to the sea to avoid sand flies.
Very good breakfast - nice choice of fruits. Overall good kitchen at the restaurant - big plates.
Trip from the pier costs 5$ per person one way.
WC in the room has no ceiling - so youâll hear your couple doing things from the rest of the room đ
GGuest UserMy son and I spent 4 wonderful relaxing days at Long Set. The customer service at Long Set Resort was amazing. Once you get off the ferry someone is waiting to escort you to the resort which is a short walk on the board walk to the resort. From the moment we arrived until our departure staff members catered to our wants and needs. Through out our stay they checked in to make sure everything was going well. My son enjoyed his stay at Long Set, playing in the pool and on the beach.
Twice a week there is  bbq on the beach at night where staff decorate the beach nicely with lights and tables. Couples can reserve a private area to dine and they receive special services.
The only cons were my room didnât have a television and my son would have liked water slides at the pool. WiFi was steady throughout the whole resort, the food was good, and the facility was clean. I definitely would stay at Long Set Resort again.
VViktoriiaweiki absolutely love this place.
Food, beach, sea, pool everything was gorgeous. Any dish and drinks from menu was so much delicious.
Staff was so friendly and helpful.
It was really the best choice for such price.
Also I liked so much that can take for free some boats and kayaks from the hotel. We really had more fun there.
Also want to mention some minuses which maybe not totally connected with the hotel but would like somebody tell me in advance about it:
1) hotel doesnât accept all cash. At our last day we need to get some changes and hotel didnât accept my hundred dollar because there was some red stamp on it. As for me itâs so strange but I heard it could happen in Cambodia. But next day when we moved to the Sihanouk they accept this hundred dollar easily , so I donât understand this logic too much. But even the hotel didnât accept that hundred they still help us with some cash as for us it was urgent to buy tickets for early morning ferry.
2) and the biggest minus it was trip which we bought from the hotel: fishing +snorkeling +sunset+plankton
Never ever buy it! Safe 20$ for anything else. The most useless half of day of my trip was there. And what make me sad it was last day in the Koh Rong. Was upset that spent last evening at this stupid way.
The tour is organized by tourist group âthree brothers â and the hotel sell it. Could be nice if they tell from beginning that this trip is a total đŠand donât allow spoil vocation of there customers. But anyway nobody force us to buy it so canât totally blame hotel, butâŚđ˘
So will explain why I such upset about the trip. We came to the ferry and boat brought us to another place where stay 3 boats . Than we change boat and a guy just give us that special mask for snorkeling and tell: ok go⌠but our boat was staying between 2 other boats so how I should go I didnât understand. After we sitting and donât understand anything for 10-15 min other boats left than we decided to go inside water. There was no fish !!!!!!!!! Maybe maximum 5 fishes!!!!!! We saw more in the hotel.than fishing: they didnât teach us anything didnât explain anything we just stop they gave us something as thing for fishing and just went to sleep. Than after one hour when one chinese girl almost start to vomiting we went to dirty dirty and over dirty long set beach for sunset. And we arrived there around 3:30-4! So should wait for sunset 2 hours!!!!! When we ask to put at least music they said: captain want to sleep⌠And beach was over dirty!!!! Than they start to cook some food gave some drinks, we watch sunset was beautiful ( because thanks God they canât spoil sunset) and then we went to watch plankton. I was so exited about that and than they stop us on the middle of the nowhere and donât tell anything. Where is plankton? Full moon no have plankton⌠how we know it? Why we still stay in that place 30 mint. I would like to know answers for all this questions but nobody gave me it⌠so was the worst time from 1:30pm to 7:30pm. If donât Wang to spoil u day never go there!!!!
JJonesThe location by the beach was stunning. The hotel was very responsive to my communication before arrival to help with transport to the hotel which happens to be fun tractor driven trailers across the beach. The front desk at arrival was welcoming and helpful including a welcome drink. The hotel is quite a large space so there are buggies and bikes to get around. The room was fine, I wish there was an extra mat in from outside as there was a lot of sand trailed in. We had an executive room with a plunge pool which we made use of. The hotel claimed hot water but we never had any in our room. It is not the hottest time of year so a hot shower would have been great. Breakfast was a small selection of bread, eggs, noodles and some western breakfast items like sausage and beans. It was fine but not amazing, the views of the ocean during breakfast was a plus. When we wanted to lounge by the pool or the ocean we found that all the sun beds were occupied so we had to lay on the sand. Overall the hotel has a lot going for it just a few things that would have taken it from good to great.
MMarinaThe hotel itself is new and quite clean except the beach area where it should be regularly cleaned as there are quite noticeable debris and trashes.
The ocean view room is very beautiful, the room is abit small comparing to the price but acceptable. However I find the bed and pillow are not comfortable. They are soft but somehow gave me body aches and every time you move there is a sound which is quite annoying.
Also to my surprise, with the price we paid, there was no welcome drink or cold towel. The reception staffs somehow didnât really give me a welcoming/engaging or pleasant impression.
Also I forgot my baby swimming suit at the public shower near the pool and contacted the staff a day later to check and they said they couldnât find.
Overall, I had a fun time with my little family there but the overall experience want up to my expectation considering the price.
EErik_12I had a wonderful stay at this beachfront hotel! The location is unbeatableâjust steps away from the ocean, with stunning views of the sunrise and sunset. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed.
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. I especially appreciated their warm hospitality, which made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The restaurant served fresh and delicious food, and dining while overlooking the sea was a highlight of my trip.
Whether youâre looking for a relaxing escape or a base for beach activities, this hotel is a perfect choice. Iâm already looking forward to my next visit!
WWinston1979Received a very warm welcome! Helpful Staff! Helped me book my scuba diving and my ferry ticket. The room was good and cooled! I only miss a phone and because I was sick I had to go to the restaurant myself to order my food (no room service). Menu card was not set up for vegans. Also the breakfast not. I could literally only eat fruit and potatoes for breakfast.
In the end I had a nice meal after negotiating with the Staff!
I would have liked the room with sea view, which had two glass walls.
Furthermore, wonderful stay on the beach! As a solo traveler who was really there for my peace, this was a great location on Koh Rong!
WWojciech KopeÄHotel located in a great place right on the beach, the downside is the old houses and old rooms. The tiles in the room are falling off, additionally rusty
Containers for body wash and washing liquid, air conditioning works as it pleases, the room is also smaller than in the description, located away from the beach in a wooden building. Breakfast is very poor, generally there is nothing to eat, juice from a carton, coffee from Nalewajka, poor food and if you go for breakfast later there is nothing to eat, they add fruit by the piece, add juice by the piece just to have something. The sunbeds are of course occupied by the Januszs from early morning where towels lie and no one uses them, a massacre. Generally, if they took care of the hotel, in my opinion it has the best location on the entire island. Additionally, a nice village.
ć¨ć¨It is much better than originally thought. The room is very clean. Although it is far from the port, it is not very convenient to travel, but it is very quiet. The hotel has a boat that can pick up and drop off to the port. One dollar is for one person, except for no hot water. Of course, there is actually there. The weather doesn't need to be there anymore. There is really nothing to be picky about. The boss is a Frenchman. He walks with a glass of wine and a book every day. He really feels good about Gaolong Island. There are not so many tourists, not too much. Itâs a lot of trouble for many European and American tourists who are holding books and sunbathing in the posters or snorkeling. Suitable for individuals or small couples, not suitable for parent-child travel, because there is really no entertainment on the island...
GGuest UserThe bungalows are very bare bones. There are gaps in the floorboards and wood panels of the walls. The bathroom has a small âwindowâ in the wall with no way to cover it for privacy. The windows in the bungalow do not lock and there is no storage locker that you can lock your valuables in so there is no security.
There are many roosters nearby that will be loud even at night and early in the morning.Â
The price is too high compared to the rooms with AC and no holes in the walls/floor. It should be at least the same price as the cost of a can of bug spray since they do not offer any!
Location is good and WiFi is good.
