Smile Samui Chaweng Beach Front Resort Reviews

The hotel is quite nice: not fancy, and while not having a proper sandy beach, it has direct access to the ocean. A small restaurant and bar are also available. Pretty satisfied with the quality of the room: it is old, but we'll maintained. The only disadvantage was the location of the house: too close to the road, so every morning we were hearing noises from cars and bikes. But nothing too catastrophic. Recommended if you want to live not not far from Chaweng touristic Getto, but in a calm and clean area. A trip from the hotel to the Central mall will take like 5-7 minutes of a bike ride.

The hotel is clean, nice sea view and spacious, but it’s very secluded with not many restaurants and shops nearby. You have to catch a taxi to go to the main part of town where you’ll get everything you need and want. However , it’s a 10min drive but they’ll charge you 300 baht which is ridiculous 😒. Front desk lady is nice, but no one is there to help you in the late hours. Overall, okay experience.

The hotel is a bit off the main road and was not signposted. Other than that, there is nothing to complain about! Very spacious rooms, beach and pool on the doorstep, as is the restaurant and the attached bar. To the left of the Smile it is very quiet and this section of the beach is perfect for walks. Lots of fishing boats line this area. If you turn right from the hotel, for example walk through the sea, you get closer and closer to the hustle and bustle, but also to cool bars. You can walk to the main street from the hotel in about five minutes and there are more restaurants and shops there. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A good stay.

The hotel is beautiful, with a good view, and is convenient to travel. However, in the morning there is noise from the fishing boats, but it is not a problem.

You always get the same breakfast and there is no buffet. I generally wouldn't stay in Koh Samui for more than a full day. The beaches are all built up and the island is very ugly 

A songthaew ride to Chaweng Beach costs 130 to 150 baht. Although it is not impossible to walk there, there are many slopes and the sidewalks are not well maintained, making it dangerous if you are bringing children with you. The beach is right in front of you, but it's not sandy so you can't go in and swim. It is made of concrete like a port. The front staff was kind. The sea view side was beautiful, but the garden view side is not recommended. The photo is from the sea view pool.

Great place to stay, staff are also very nice. The rooms are spotless, with large balconies. Air conditioning ***et is sufficient. You can swim in front of the hotel, it also has a pool, restaurant and bar facing the sea. You can also park your motorcycle right next to the hotel.

There is no beach and there is no public beach nearby (in fact, the entire beach in Koh Samui is covered) Not much better). The hotel occupancy rate is not high and it is relatively quiet. There are restaurants more than 100 meters away from the hotel (one of the restaurants with Dianping reviews also sells seafood at pre-epidemic prices, which is nearly half cheaper than other restaurants), travel agencies, Mashaji, currency exchange shops with good exchange rates, and Green Leaf Shop. Overall, with the island enacting a large-scale Spring Festival price increase of three to five times, this hotel is a decent alternative for tourists who do not pursue luxury.
