Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort Reviews

The pool is a great spot for anyone who just wants to relax for the day, and the food at Edgewater is reasonably good. However, the king room is located in the main building, and we were assigned a room on the 3rd floor. This was quite far from the terrace balcony room on the ground floor, so our family of five ended up separated most of the time. Even though we requested to move, the hotel was at full capacity and couldn’t accommodate us. In-room amenities also had to be requested rather than being readily available, which doesn’t quite match the standards expected of a 5‑star hotel. Breakfast was excellent with variety of options. Staff remember our names and preferred style of eggs. Make us feel welcoming.😄

Fantastic first class service, activities and food. Very relaxed area with shops and things to do nearby too. Highly recommend.

Good hotel. Breakfasts aren't very varied, but you won't go hungry. The room service pizza was tasty. The indoor pool at the hotel wasn't crowded, and there's a mini jacuzzi. Unfortunately, the beach isn't really suitable for swimming. There's a kids' club. The room has nice gels and soap, and you can order slippers and other amenities via the app.

How this hotel is 5 star I do not know! We have stayed in 5 star all over the world and this just isn't 5 star. Rooms are small, full of screaming kids and families around the pool which you have to cross over the road too. There is another pool that's a little quieter but doesn't get the sun all day, limited beds and no service for even a drink. Would never stay here again, we used local beach clubs as we couldn't sit around the pools and also stayed in another place for a few nights. Koh Samui is so beautiful and has so many stunning hotels, this just is not 5 star service in any way. So disappointed

Overall, everything was fine. While the beach directly in front of our hotel was not clean, the other side of the beach was much nicer—especially the area near Hin Ta Hin Yai Rock.

The staff is super friendly , they make the stay more happy and relaxed ! Location is good !

The room floor was screeching, the property was not beachfront but advertised as beachfront. It’s a hotel with cheap owners not focused on services rather focused on charging customers for everything they could. The coconut water was also charged during breakfast. The staff on the reception was very unhelpful at night. I would never recommend anyone to stay in this hotel

It was so bad we moved out after 5 nights to another resort and still had 6 nights left

The hotel is a bit old and a little overpriced. Otherwise, it's pretty okay. It's a bit out of the way, but you should rent a scooter anyway, then it's no longer an issue.

My family and I have a lot of great memories together when we stayed in the resort.This place had a lot of friendly people and full of smiles.My daughter loved to spend time in the kid club because all staff there very friendly and helpful.We have a good time at the pool and they provide great service including the restaurant for breakfast.Thank you for all your hard work and taking care of us.

We chose this hotel because we wanted to experience Lamai from Chaweng Beach area. The hotel is definitely beautiful and has a lot of things you might need. It’s definitely children friendly, with many different pools and a games room, children’s club, etc. the games room has things for adults as well such as a pool table, table tennis and table hockey. To do things in the hotel, it is all quite completed through their app, where you can book your reservations and order extra amenities you might need e.g. slippers. The pool and beach are on the opposite side of the road but don’t let this put you off because it isn’t very far and the service is wonderful. There was some amenities such as ear buds, shower cap, etc. which I thought would be in the room but there wasn’t. If you need these, you may need to ask reception. The prices are the pool are quite expensive but I guess it’s what should be expected with a hotel like this.

Very elegant hotel but didn’t realise the larger pool and lounge area is across a main road. But overall good location. Cleanliness is good. I got a garden view room right at the back but then they changed it because there was too much noise and I couldn’t sleep. Staff are friendly. Private beach area. They have kayaks and paddle boarding free for guests as well as yoga. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and about a 15 min walk to lamai night market. Would stay again.
