Chaweng Cove Beach Resort Reviews

Booked a superior room no balcony, which I didn’t think meant that it overlooked a busy road where day and night there’s lots of traffic. The double window and my earplugs didn’t help, got waken up many times during the night. I asked for a quiet room, but my request did not get fulfilled. Cons: - very noisy, on a busy road in central Chaweng - Room is definitely not “superior”, that’s just marketing - very lifeless looking room, no pictures, no decor, just a plain max 2-star place - breakfast feels cheap, no vegan options, lukewarm tea water, bad coffee - not worth the price, wouldn’t come back Pros: - restaurant area looks really nice and well taken care of, overlooking the beach - bungalow area looks nice (no idea how the bungalows are from the inside though) - sun beds and umbrellas included - AC is good and quite silent - you get beach towels

Nice location, but the hotel feels overpriced for the old room decoration. I had the only available room without balcony, and on the second day it was pouring rain with pigeons literally taking shelter right outside my window — unforgettable 😂. Breakfast could be improved and the hotel was extremely crowded with Russian guests. Overall okay, but I expected more value for money.

This is a good place, with excellent service, but the rooms desperately need renovation. The bathroom, and especially the shower, no longer meet minimum standards. The window didn't have a handle, and that's the only way to ventilate the room. I stayed at this hotel two years ago, and they were remodeling, but it seems they only did the rooms facing the beach. The breakfast was good. The location is fine; it's quieter south of Chaweng. The pool is good too. The bar is beautiful.

It was comfortable, and I'm grateful for the upgrade to a cabin. However, there was a minor issue during checkout. We added an extra bed for one room on-site, but the room only had amenities for two people. At checkout, the front desk insisted there were supposed to be amenities for three. They wanted to charge us for a missing pair of slippers and a spoon (though it wasn't much, I felt it was unfair). I maintained there were only two of us, but to avoid missing my ferry, I ended up paying. I only have myself to blame for not checking more carefully.

This is nice place to stay for the beach, swimming pool, breakfast good with sea view whilst eating your breakfast. Only complaint was room very small and tired and old TV and loose plugs and broken handle on Bathroom Window. On a good note Robes and Flip Flops along with Beach Towels all provided. Safe in Room.

My friend and I stayed here for 6 days and really enjoyed it. It’s a peaceful, family-friendly resort — most guests were older or families with kids, but it was never noisy. The soundproofing is great, AC worked non-stop without issues, and you can keep devices running even after leaving the room with your key card. Beach towels, robes, umbrellas, and slippers are provided for free. The room was clean enough to walk barefoot (yes, tested with white socks!). Daily amenities like toothbrushes, cotton swabs, and soap came sealed, and shampoo/shower gel was always stocked. There’s a veranda with a table and chairs, plenty of storage, and a mini bar priced fairly. Breakfast is decent, coffee was great. Staff are friendly, though they may knock even with the “Do Not Disturb” sign on. 7/11 and juice stalls are right outside, and it’s about 15–20 mins to central Chaweng on foot. You can get massages, tours, taxis, and currency exchange nearby. The beach might be the best in Chaweng — calm, clean, and safe for kids to swim. We were very satisfied and would definitely stay again.

Second time in this resort. Booked a deluxe garden bungalow which was perfect. Excellent location, very nice staff. I recommend

Unfortunately, there was a power outage and it was dark and hot. No apology. The beach was great.

A fantastic hotel that, when booked well in advance, offers reasonable rates. Great service. Great amenities. Nice atmosphere. There was construction happening at the restaurant that ran into the first night of my stay but once addressed with reception it didn't happen again. They even offered to change my room but I didn't need to. The place offers motorbike rentals at rates comparable to others in the area. Nice pool, beach area, and breakfast. Small but sufficient gym. Forgot to take room photos.

Loved the hotel which was right on what is a lovely beach. Had a great room which was very large and well serviced. The pool was great and clean and the dining area overlooking the beach was very good with easy access directly on to the beach. My only negative comment is that there were a huge number of people smoking everywhere in the resort including on the balconies, in the restaurant, around the pool and on the beach. It meant that we (nonsmokers) were constantly breathing other people's smoke. This may be an issue in all the resorts on Koh Samui but it would possibly cause us to try a different resort next time we come here.

We had a fabulous stay at Chaweng Cove, the staff can't do enough to help and appease you, location is perfect away from chaweng ***** which is very busy. Breakfast was excellent fresh eggs cooked anyway you prefer, beach is narrow but we loved the big waves and lazing on the loungers, if you really want to get a lounger by the pool area get up early as they are all gone by let say the older generation don't know why you want to sit by a pool all day can do that anywere. Trips we like the Ethical elephant sanctuary which was nice and you feed the elephants and get loads of pictures. Zipwire experience was great fun 9 different zip line but go early as it gets very busy later in the day

It's convinient near chaweng beach and few restaurants. Good enough for few days.

The hotel is on a quieter part of Chaweng beacon. The pools location is great across the beach. The breakfast is good, I hope they can improve the breakfast by serving bean coffee, instead of Nescafe. Great stay .. thank you for your excellent service
