The Sarann Koh Samui, Suites & Villas

The accommodation was clean, and the staff were incredibly lovely. The room was large and spacious, with a huge bed and two big bathtubs. It was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The breakfast was excellent!

Check-in was prompt, and I got the room I booked. However, I had to walk quite a distance to reach it because guests staying long-term (monthly rentals) occupy the closer rooms, meaning those staying for just one or two nights are assigned rooms further away. This isn't ideal for the elderly. The room itself was nice, but the wooden furniture and fittings were starting to show their age. The air conditioning worked well. In the bathroom, there was no screen or divider, so it was visible from the bedroom. The TV didn't work at all during my two-night stay as there was no signal. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade sausages. The restaurant had a beautiful view, as did the swimming pool, but the beach right in front of the hotel wasn't usable; you had to walk to the side of the property. There's no dedicated parking for cars; you have to park on the roadside, which is a hilly, winding road, so you need to be very careful.

The location is a bit out of the way, but that also means it's quiet and less crowded. The pool behind the lobby offers an excellent photo opportunity with great views.

On the plus side, the hotel grounds are absolutely stunning, both morning and evening, and always spotless. The rooms are large and unique. We stayed in a room with a jacuzzi; you can use it, but the pump is very noisy. Breakfast comes with a gorgeous view. The selection isn't huge, but you'll definitely find something to eat. The hotel is located away from all the entertainment, but if you have a motorbike, it's a 5-7 minute ride to the center. Be prepared to walk a bit further to swim, as there are many rocks near the hotel and it's almost always low tide.

I stay here every year. It's convenient, right by the beach, and perfect for a relaxing getaway.
