The hotel is quite a distance (by island standards) from attractions, shops, and restaurants. There's a shuttle service to the pier and Sairee Beach, running about 4 times a day. However, it's not always easy to get on this shuttle, and the administration asks guests to notify them in advance (preferably a day before) if they need a ride. Basically, you can buy almost everything at the hotel itself, including dining at their restaurant and visiting the local spa, but everything there is 2-3 times more expensive than in town. If you want to be active, you'll have to rent a bike. A one-way taxi ride costs about 400 baht. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the hotel grounds are large and clean, with its own beach and several pools. Swimming at this beach is very difficult – it's shallow, and there are many rocks underwater. I cut my foot on them the very first time I went in. On the plus side, you can borrow a kayak for an hour for free every day. Breakfasts are delicious with a wide variety. There’s an excellent view of the sea and beach from the restaurant. The room itself is extremely simple. It’s surprising to find the sink located outside the bathroom. The strongest feature of the room is the balcony. There's a comfortable sofa there, perfect for spending evenings, but the balcony gets quite flooded during rains. There's no iron in the room, and the hotel offers laundry and ironing services for a fee, which you need to arrange in advance. This costs significantly more than anywhere else on the island. I never managed to get my clothes ironed. The hotel provides towels but not bathrobes or disposable slippers. There are reusable rubber slippers in the room. There’s no toilet brush, and I couldn't get one delivered to my room. It seems like a minor detail, but honestly, I've never encountered that before. In general, phone calls with the administrator almost never led to any resolution. On the last day, we were very disappointed to learn that the hotel does not provide return transfers upon check-out, only at 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM (which is strange, given that check-out is until 11:00 AM). Overall, the impression is mixed: despite the hotel's beauty and photogenic qualities, with each day of our stay, more and more questions arose regarding what seemed like a careless attitude towards guests at such an apparently decent establishment. P.S. There's absolutely nothing to do at the hotel in the evening; after sunset and dinner, the hotel literally dies down. If you're looking for entertainment, this is definitely not the place for you.

Wow! What a gem! I had such an amazing stay, what a setting! I felt like I was in a dream, the best dream - having the most gorgeous private beach to myself! Great food, great staff, great room, absolutely fantastic stay! I booked the cooking class and it was so well thought out, excellent setting outdoors, amazing food, loved it. Really special!!!! Can’t wait to get back!

We had a pleasant stay at Beach Club by Haadtien, but with mixed feelings. The location is beautiful: a lovely bay in a peaceful setting. The room itself was fine and we appreciated the daily fresh towels (both for the bathroom and the beach/pool) as well as the complimentary bottled water. The food in the restaurant is also good, although we found it relatively expensive by Thai standards. At the same time there are several aspects that, especially given the price of the hotel, should be better. The sound insulation is very poor: you can literally understand what your neighbours are saying, and music as well as footsteps from the rooms above or adjacent are clearly audible. This makes getting a good night’s sleep more a matter of luck than comfort. In addition, the sliding door to the balcony did not close properly, which affects both comfort and the efficiency of the air conditioning which I thought was a pity, especially on an island where energy use should be taken seriously. Housekeeping and general maintenance could also be improved. In this price range, you would not expect to find squashed mosquitoes on the walls. The property and the room show signs of wear and tear in several places, such as broken tiles and damage to the floor. There was also quite a bit of plastic on the beach, although we realise this may not be entirely within the hotel’s control. The shuttle service to the village is a nice addition, but having to reserve it a day in advance makes it less flexible than you would hope. Overall conclusion: A beautifully located hotel with a good foundation, but it falls short in several important areas given the price. For us, this would be a reason to consider other options next time. Overall, we did not feel it was worth the money.

Plus points: From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth, which immediately made us feel welcome and at ease. The hospitality throughout our stay coupled with the constant soothing seawave’s noise was creates a cozy, and peaceful atmosphere. The beautiful beach/ sunset/ sunrise view, access to a private beach, swimming pool, and complimentary use of kayaks added even more charm and enjoyment to the stay. Downside: There was no lift, so stairs are required to reach the room, though their staff helped with luggages. During breakfast, the coffee machine had some operational hiccups, and it took an extended period of time to get a cup of black coffee. The breakfast itself was fairly normal and average. Overall, it was a decent stay with lovely hospitality, staff were respectful and service oriented.

Location is the reason why we choose to stay at this hotel.Staffs r all ok on average standard. Hotel has classes to attend if guests want.Free kayak n standup paddle board fr 1 hr n snorkel mark fr rent. Bf has varied selection,has all u needed. What put us off fr entire stay was the smell of waste water or sewage.When we step into our room building we can smell it right away, n when we r in our room as well,forget about sitting on the balcony to enjoy the beach view outside coz we cant sit longer than 20 mins due to the strong ugly smell. We didnt ask to change our room coz we thought that even the whole floor is so smelly like thid then it wouldn’t make any difference to get on higher floor unless we changed our room type to diff building. So we ended up our 3 nights here without any impression aside frm the lovely beach their located. I saw some guests mentioned about this problem but i didnt think it would b this ugly.

This hotel could have been exceptional, but unfortunately, it was not. We were disappointed from the very first minutes of our stay. Check-in and customer service During check-in, we were surprised to find that a standard double room had been prepared for us, even though our reservation clearly stated that we were travelling with our 12-year-old son. We were asked to wait for a moment, but after 15 minutes it became clear that the staff had no solution and instead asked us to pay extra for an additional bed — despite the fact that we had booked a two-bedroom room. What was most disappointing was not even the mistake itself, but the attitude of the reception staff. They were extremely unhelpful and showed very little interest in resolving the problem. At one point, they suggested that the three of us, including our 12-year-old son, simply sleep together in one bed, sharing two pillows and one duvet. Absolutely unacceptable. We were essentially left to deal with the problem ourselves. Fortunately, Trip.com stepped up and compensated us for the inconvenience. Room and cleanliness Unfortunately, the room was far from what we would expect from a four-star hotel. The furnishings were very basic and appeared to be of the cheapest quality. The air conditioning was extremely loud and difficult to regulate, the TV did not work, and there were no basic hotel amenities such as a toothbrush. The cleanliness was also disappointing. The curtains were dirty, the sofa on the terrace was stained and dirty, and there was visible mould in the bathroom around the shower. The towels were grey and visibly dirty — simply disgusting. Location and access to the beach Depending on where your room is located, there can be a surprisingly large number of stairs between the accommodation and the beach. In our case, there were more than 120 steps to get to the beach, which may be an important consideration for some guests. Beach and sun loungers The beach itself is beautiful, and the surrounding nature is definitely the hotel’s biggest advantage. Unfortunately, the beach is also operated as a beach club, which means that outside guests can enter for a fee and use the sun loungers. As a result, at certain times there are not enough sun loungers or umbrellas for hotel guests. What was particularly unpleasant was the attitude of some members of staff. I witnessed several occasions when they spoke to outside guests in a very rude and disrespectful manner. It was embarrassing to watch. Food and prices The food in the hotel restaurant was another disappointment. The pizza barely resembled pizza, and even though this is Thailand, the Thai dishes were very average. Prices were also high considering the overall standard and local prices. Unfortunately, we were largely dependent on the hotel restaurant because of the distance from the centre and the extremely high cost of taxis — around 500 THB one way. The hotel does offer a shuttle bus, but there is apparently only one return trip available for the entire day, at 7:30 PM. This makes it rather difficult to leave the hotel and explore the area independently. Overall impression If it weren’t for the beautiful beach and the stunning nature surrounding the property, our overall experience would have been extremely negative. The hotel has the potential to be something truly special because of its location, but the poor service, lack of attention to guests, disappointing room standards, cleanliness issues, and high prices significantly undermine that potential. For us, this was definitely not a four-star experience, and unfortunately, we would not choose this hotel again.

The hotel is Ok but too many stairs if you're located in the last building, is not convenient for long stay.

good location very friendly nice and quiet beach

It was a very good experience staying in Haadtien beach resort. We saw turtles and reef sharks. The ambience was perfect. Everything was perfect.

We stayed at this hotel in May 2026. We arrived early, at 10 AM, but check-in wasn't until 2 PM. We asked if we could check in earlier because we were exhausted from the flight, bus, and ferry, plus the heat, but they refused and only let us into our room exactly at 2 PM ((. Breakfast: We stayed for 10 nights, and breakfast was the exact same every single morning. Nothing changed, nothing was added, just the same food every day. Housekeeping: The maid would come with a broom to sweep, but the floor was never washed, and wet cleaning wasn't done. The balcony floors were never cleaned at all. The cleaning was just awful; the room was dirty the entire time, the bathroom mirror was filthy, and the towels were old and worn out. On the plus side: The beach is fantastic, with white sand and turquoise water, and no outsiders. In the evening, the hotel lights up beautifully. There are three swimming pools, and a transfer to the ferry.

The room was pretty nice with a fantastic view! The staff provided excellent service, and the breakfast had a great variety of delicious food. 10/10, anyone coming to Koh Tao absolutely must stay here!

Overall, the hotel is good. The breakfast is excellent, and the rooms are well-equipped. In our room, the sink was located in the entryway, not in the bathroom. On the downside, the showerhead didn't stay in its holder, and the spray was weak. Accessing the upper buildings from the beach requires climbing several flights of stairs, followed by more stairs up to the 3rd floor. There are no elevators. The property features 3 swimming pools, a dive club, and a spa. There's a free shuttle bus to the pier three times a day.
