Coral View Resort Reviews

We had two reservations for different room types, and in this review, I'll focus on the Hillside Cabin. We got the very last one, the furthest away. It was fine walking down to the beach, but climbing back up was tiring. Going up once or twice a day wasn't a big deal, but you wouldn't want to do it more than that. The air conditioning and fan worked well. There's no TV in the cabin, and we could hear road noise, so it must run somewhere behind the cabins. The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak, but there was always hot water. There was a constant breeze in the bay, which made the heat more bearable. Overall, it's a good hotel, and the convenient transfer to Sairee for 100 baht per person is great for one or two travelers.

The location was amazing with an almost private beach shared with only one other hotel and offering two good restaurant options. The staff is very friendly and helpful and offer free snorkeling gear at reception, a shuttle ride into the city and pickup from the ferry pier, and other services to get around. The facilities were a bit less clean and nice than expected from the pictures, and the AC was very slow and not strong. We booked the largest double room, and the space was a bit less than expected. But overall we enjoyed our stay and the location at the beach very much, and the friendly staff made up for what it lacked in amenities.

We stayed in a triple room. It had everything we needed. Breakfast was included. While there wasn't a huge variety, you'd find something to eat (scrambled eggs, rice, meat, greens, fruit). The staff were friendly and ready to help if needed. The beach was nice. We went when the waves were high, so snorkeling wasn't really an option. There were small sharks swimming near the shore.

Really loved it here. There's a lovely lounge area near reception with games and sea views. The beach is the liveliest I've seen in Thailand, with lots of schools of fish swimming around. The breakfast buffet is rich and delicious. The bungalows are cozy, each with a balcony and comfy sofas.

I liked it. My wife saw a turtle, but I wasn't so lucky. The transfer was a reasonable price.

The hotel is located in a bay with incredibly rich underwater life. The rooms are spacious, clean, with a very comfortable mattress and pillows of varying firmness. Breakfast was excellent and varied, offering both European and Asian dishes. Housekeeping was daily. We were very satisfied with the hotel.

Everything is great, I liked the hotel. The place is wonderful.

We really enjoyed our stay at the 'Chalet.' It was right on the beach, but be careful as the beach is very rocky and has a lot of coral. Water shoes are highly recommended! Dinner was delicious and freshly cooked. The hotel is quite secluded and the terrain is very steep. You'll need to take a taxi or the hotel's shuttle service to get to the town center. Riding a scooter there is very risky. Overall, we really liked it.

Excellent quiet hotel, very atmospheric, for a small price. The bay is not bad, lots of fish). Tasty breakfasts. The only downside is there's no fresh water at all on the beach, you can't even rinse your feet.

The room and bedding were quite old. There was nowhere to rinse sand off my feet after coming from the beach, so I was constantly sweeping sand out of the room. When I asked for an extra blanket around 5 am, the front desk staff was extremely rude, saying the storage room was locked. The scenery, however, was absolutely stunning, and you could walk right from the beach to go snorkeling.

This is a gem. A long way from the action on the other side of the island but if you are looking for party party it’s only a taxi ride away. We stayed in a hillside cabin clean quaint nicely minimal decorated. Felt like a mountain goat getting up from the private beach but it was worth it for the views from the room. Would definitely like to stay here again the snorkeling was fabulous straight out the front. Staff are awesome. Food was fine but nothing fancy which was enough.

The good: Fantastic location. The beach is a snorkeling paradise. Breakfast was solid, with a good selection and fresh fruit. The bad: The AC was leaking on the floor making the hardwood floors swell up. Towel rack was broken and taped back to the wall with electrical tape (should I say it didn't hold?) Tiny sink and no room to put any toiletries. I mean you have to take your tooth brush with you... The ugly: After every flush the toilet left a puddle below. Yes, yellow puddle! After we complained we were moved to another bungalow. The new toilet worked but now the shower drain was letting out sewer gases. Should I tel you how it made the whole place smell? We ended up putting the wet towel down over the drain. Move the towel away to shower, put it back when not in use. Upon the arrival we were told that the room service is done once every two days. We had our room cleaned every day! I wondered why until a few days later. I noticed that there were 700USD missing from my bag. Emergency money that I had hidden away. I do not have a proof that it happened in this hotel but it was the only one with a broken safe!

Small and clean bungalows, very Basic But beautifully lovated at a nice beach. the breakfast menu is good. the restaurant is also ok, but the fish bbq was not good. I would definitely recommend it. + Diving goggles, beach towels and good breakfast - Bbq

Good property and good location. Rooms are clean.
