My parents and I stayed here over New Year's. The food was absolutely delicious and there was so much we couldn't even finish it all. Breakfast was so substantial it felt more like dinner! The room seemed like an addition, and the most disappointing part was the outdoor bath attached to our room. It was so incredibly cold that we couldn't use it. I felt like I was going to catch a cold just washing up! I really wanted to enjoy it because of the charming atmosphere, and I was so looking forward to it, so it was a shame. We went to the private onsen, but even there it was cold right after getting in. We quickly washed ourselves and then immediately got into the hot spring. It felt like such a waste to have a private onsen in the room and not be able to use it. I think it would be better if they installed windows or made it possible for guests to adjust the temperature according to the season.

Private in-room onsen large enough for 2. Large rooms with separate seating area. Very clean and seems newly renovated. Breakfast and dinner are exquisite and of high quality. Spotted a deer on the grounds.

Hot spring is spacious and beautiful. But it gets booked out very quickly. Rooftop hot spring is a little bit inconvenient. Staff can be more patient and friendly when explaining things and answering questions. But overall good experience.

By far the best hotel that I have stayed in this trip. Will definitely book again in the future!!

Private bath is excellent but location is a bit remote .

The hotel staff were very nice, and the environment was truly beautiful. We came on a road trip in August, and although it was very hot, it wasn't too hot on the mountain. The place was spacious, and the indoor hot spring was excellent. The kids loved it too, and we will definitely stay here again next time.

This is my second visit since May 2019. It was also really great. I was assigned the same room, but it seems to have been maintained more since then :) No, really, every corner of the wall or the open-air bath attached to the room It's amazing that there's not a single speck of dust. I made a reservation after much deliberation among several candidates for a family trip. It was raining, but they came to the parking lot, gave me an umbrella, and even helped me carry my luggage. The facilities were more satisfactory than I expected, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious Japanese-style. All the staff were so kind that I had a great night's rest. I want to visit again next time!
