We have just had the most wonderful holiday in Komandoo. Really lovely welcome from the team with a show round the resort en route to our water villa from Yousef. The helpfulness and care the team members showed us was so nice. Our water villa was idyllic and spent time on our deck just looking out to sea and relaxing. The food and beverage offerings were excellent and the team were really friendly and welcoming. Very small island which you can easily walk around. Whilst we didn’t partake in diving, lots of people were commenting on how good the house reef was. We had a very special dining experience at Komandoo’s sister hotel’s 5.8 underwater restaurant, which was amazing! The food and ambiance were exceptional. Whilst very pricey, if you can afford it you should try this once in a lifetime experience. Left the island today feeling very relaxed.

My husband and I stayed at Komandoo Resort from 19th July to 31st July for our honeymoon, and honestly, we had the most amazing time. It was everything we could have hoped for and, in all honesty, even better than we ever could have imagined. From the moment we arrived, we received the most lovely welcome and immediately felt so relaxed and looked after. Our Premium Jacuzzi Beachfront Villa was absolutely perfect. We stayed in Manta 1, and the location, views and villa itself were everything we could have wished for for our honeymoon. Every single member of staff we met was so friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the service throughout our stay was truly exceptional. The food was also fantastic. We thought the quality was brilliant, there was so much choice and everything we ate was delicious. The chefs deserve a huge amount of credit for the amazing food they produced throughout our stay. I especially wanted to give a special shout-out to a few members of the team who really made our stay extra special: Asim in the restaurant – our waiter who was genuinely 5-star! He looked after us so well and was always so friendly and attentive. It was honestly lovely seeing him every morning at breakfast and again at lunch. He made us feel so welcome and always went above and beyond. Asitha & Vipin in the bar – these two were always so friendly, funny and welcoming. They made us feel completely comfortable and gave us such amazing service throughout our stay. We always looked forward to seeing them! Ishan, our room cleaner – he was absolutely amazing. Our room was always beautifully looked after, and we really appreciated all his hard work during our stay. We honestly cannot thank the whole team at Komandoo enough for making our honeymoon so incredibly special. The island is beautiful, but it was the wonderful staff and the incredible service that really made the experience unforgettable. We arrived as guests celebrating our honeymoon and left with so many amazing memories that we will treasure forever. We genuinely didn't want to leave! We would 100% recommend Komandoo to anyone looking for a truly special Maldives experience, and we would absolutely love to return one day. ❤️☀️ One little question: if anyone from the hotel happens to see this, could you please let me know the brand/type of pillows used in Manta 1, and also the brand/type of bed sheets? The bed was honestly like sleeping on a cloud! It was the most comfortable bed and bedding we have ever slept on, and I would absolutely love to recreate that feeling at home. Thank you again to everyone at Komandoo for giving us the most incredible honeymoon. We will never forget it! ❤️

My sister and I went here to celebrate our 40th birthday. It was INCREDIBLE. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like royalty, the staff were so attentive and friendly. It felt like every small detail had been thought of, and nothing was lacking. I'm a bit of a "picky eater", and often worry about food on holiday. I needn't have worried.... the variety and quality of food available meant there was always plenty for me to eat, and it was delicious! Despite being a small island, we never felt like we were sharing with lots of people... there was plenty of space to relax and enjoy paradise. We enjoyed kayaking and snorkeling, the sea-life we saw was amazing. The holiday was luxury from start to finish and I hope that one day we'll make it back again!

Komandoo is a peaceful, beautiful, adults only island. I was warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home at this barefoot paradise island. I loved how carefree and instantly relaxed I felt here. My overwater villa had the most beautiful views over the ocean and waking up to the sound of the water around me was just heavenly. Komandoo might be a smaller island, but this is part of its magic - no rush, no stess - just easy island living at its best. One of the best highlights, for me, was the stunning house reef, accessible straight from the beach - I really enjoyed the easy snorkeling amongst the beautiful marine life.. a big part of what makes the Maldives escape so very special. Komandoo won a piece of my heart and I look forward to returning back to this special little island.

This was our third visit to Komandoo and I am afraid I can't better some of the previous reviews that I have read over the week since we left but I will try. Its an amazing little island staffed by wonderful staff who really good the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. The house reef is one of the best in the Maldives ( and we have done quite a few islands). The bar staff are very attentive and are happy to please. The restaurant staff are top notch and nothing is too much for them to make every meal time a delight. I have particularly mention our brilliant team of Asim, kaleem, Dickshana and Saeed. We are going next this October to hopefully get our coveted Plaque. Thank you one and all from Henry and Bev

Eight days at Komandoo, and what an unforgettable way to celebrate my birthday! ❤️️ A huge thank you to every single member of staff who made our stay so special. From the warm welcome when we arrived to the heartfelt smiles and exceptional service every day, you all went above and beyond to make my birthday one I’ll never forget. Special thanks to our Champions Naseem in the restaurant, our Room Champion Ershan, Chef Kumar (the Naan bread King!) and Vipin, Suraj & all the lads in the bars who kept us laughing with their antics! Also a special thank you to the unsung heroes of the resort, the beach cleaners, the security staff, the logistics staff, the gardeners, the maintenance staff, the kitchen helpers, the admin staff who all work tirelessly to keep Komandoo the fabulous resort that it is! Nothing was ever too much trouble, and it’s the people who truly make Komandoo such a magical place. Your kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel so welcome and completely spoiled throughout our stay. Thank you for making so many wonderful memories that I’ll treasure for years to come. Leaving paradise is never easy, but I’ll take home a little piece of it with me. I can’t wait to visit again. Our 10th visit to this amazing island we call our second home . From the minute our feet step onto the jetty we relax instantly and know that the champions will make our holiday so special and memorable. The food this year was exceptional, the variety is unbelievable. The ladies in the spa deliver the very best in relaxation. Wahhab our champion in the restaurant delivering impeccable service and always with a smile . This year we thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment laid on by the resort they are all highly talented musicians. We were not blessed with the best Maldivian sunshine but it did not spoil our enjoyment there, is always lots to do on the island . I could go on and on about the highlights of the island. Only thing left to say is you will not be disappointed at all if you choose to visit Komandoo. So for now I will contact my travel agent in the next week and re-book my return visit!!! As a family with adult children, finding a destination that appeals to everyone can be a challenge, but Komandoo exceeded our expectations. We spent 11 unforgettable days on the island and enjoyed every moment. Arriving by seaplane was a fantastic start to the holiday. Our beach villas were beautiful, the beaches were peaceful and pristine, and the island provided the perfect setting to relax and unwind. Diving was a major highlight of our trip. The dive operation was excellent, with a professional and friendly team, and we enjoyed some truly memorable dives. Combined with the outstanding food and exceptional service throughout the resort, it made for a holiday that delivered exactly what we had hoped for when booking the Maldives. What stood out most was the warm hospitality of everyone we met. We felt genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived until the day we left. Komandoo gave our whole family a wonderful holiday and memories that will stay with us for a long time.

Perfect adults only resort in the Lhaviyani atoll. Part of the Crown and Champas group, the all inclusive package is first class. A fairly small island with a mix of water and beach villas, the beach is easy to walk and kept very clean and the interior paths are also well kept so no need for shoes! This was our second trip to Komandoo, mainly because the staff are all lovely and always greet you with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble, the service they provided made our holiday all the more special. Villas are set back so very private, we stayed in a beach villa on the sunset side, benefitting from the onshore breeze. Interiors are tastefully decorated with well made furniture and wall art. Bathrooms have twin sinks, toiletries supplied and an outdoor shower. All rooms enjoy a fully stocked mini bar included in the AI package. We booked our stay through Angelfish Travel, an independent travel agency who specialises in The Maldives. Their service was excellent and very competitive compared to larger travel companies. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

This was our 6th consecutive visit to Komandoo and as per usual it was brilliant. We arrived on the seaplane which is definitely a worth while experience and cost. On arrival we were met by the reception champions who welcomed us back with open arms, song and drums and of course the legendary coconut ice cream. We had used the APP to check in before our arrival so with no time wasted we were taken straight to our beach villa by Mariyann our host champion. What a lovely team all the reception champions are, every time you pass they will give you a cheery wave and smile and ask how your day is going so far. Our beach villa (Turtle 2) on the sunset side, is spacious and equipped with a mini bar, wine fridge, wardrobe, chest of drawers, coffee machine, kettle, TV (never switched on in all the years we’ve been !) day bed lounger, air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The outside bathroom is large with his and hers sinks a rainfall shower, washing line and pegs. Personally I take my own plastic pegs as I find the wooden pegs mark my clothes. Complementary toiletries including aftersun, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and handwash. Outside you have 2 sun loungers with mattresses and beach towels. A bucket of water to wash your feet before entering your villa and a handheld spray. This time of year the breeze is lovely on this side. As part of the all inclusive plus you can dine in the A La Carte Intimate Aqua restaurant once per every 5 nights stay, this year they have extended the very tasty menu. Chef Rajan comes to you after your meal to make sure everything was to your satisfaction. The buffet food in the main restaurant is fantastic. I have certain allergies but I inform the resort before travel and am confident that I will be looked after and can eat with no worries. The vast array of tasty food extending from plain to spicy kept us very well fed. All the dining champions are very chatty, amusing and extremely entertaining. We spent our whole holiday with laughter at every meal. They also seem to know what you want without you asking but are so discreet about it, you sit wherever you want, inside or out on the terrace and they know you are there immediately. The house reef on both sides of the island are very accessible for us snorkellers, we encountered turtles, moray eels, sharks, lion fish, eagle rays, stingrays, octopus, nurse sharks (sleeping) and loads more. You can walk slowly round the island in 20 minutes or include a stop off at the wonderful Thundi bar. If you want no children, a beautiful sandy beach (well done to all the beach cleaners and leaf sweeping ladies) excellent food and the good old fashioned Maldivian feeling then look no further. A comfortable bed with lovely crisp linen. Every single champion is worth a mention but there are too many to name. A special shout out to Senthil, the security guard on the main jetty, who watched us snorkel the reef twice a day and made sure we returned safely, it was very reassuring to know that

I'm sitting in reception waiting for our speedboat to take us to our seaplane to begin our journey home after an 8 night stay. We stayed in Manta 4 sunrise premium jacuzzi villa which was a beautiful spot overlooking the very calm lagoon. We have had an incredible stay from our well equipped villa, great food and drinks a wonderful swimming pool, beautiful sand and the most beautiful kind helpful hardworking staff. Thank you too you all for making this a very special island to visit ❤️

Second time by this amazing resort and yet to come! You go to Komandoo to relax with your head and soul and it’s exactly what was needed. Great house reef right in front on your villa. We snorkled twice a day and it never got bored : plenty of fish, turtles, reef-sharks, rays, etc. Theme nights by buffet restaurant has plenty of food variety, during 15 nights it never got boring. Can walk everywhere barefoot, everything is in a walkable distance, but yet not crowded even by high occupancy. Lots of repeater guests who already even recognise each other and in my opinion it says a lot about the resort. People choose to come back to good places and Komandoo is definitely on this list.

This island and its staff leave nothing to be desired! From start to finish a perfect honeymoon for us. Amazing food, everything very clean, great service and a beautiful coral reef. We enjoyed it very much, it was already our second stay on this island and we surely will be back!
