I stayed alone. I love the relaxed atmosphere of all-inclusive hotels, and I thought maybe I'd even be able to see the autumn leaves, so I was waiting for this day while keeping an eye on my health. The staff called me the day before to confirm my reservation, and in a gentle Fukushima intonation, they told me to dress warmly as it was cold, and to use the bus from the hotel in the chain, so they were full of hospitality even before I used the hotel. Be careful, there is only one train per hour from Koriyama to Bandai Atami Station! The train is waiting much earlier than the departure time, so if you arrive at the last minute, there are no seats to sit on. I arrived at the inn a little before 3 o'clock. It's a hot spring town, so there are many hotels and inns nearby, which makes you feel like you're traveling. There is a mountain behind the inn, but it seems that it was still too early for the autumn leaves. When I checked in, I was happy to see that it was Mr. I who had called. It seemed that I was the first one to arrive, and I was also the first one to make a reservation for the private hot spring. Mr. I, who helped me, was a wonderful customer who really loved Bandai Atami Onsen and Asakaso. Jazz music was playing from the AIDS System speakers in the lobby. Fukushima's specialties were displayed, creating a warm atmosphere. When I checked in, there was already plenty of chilled beer and juice as welcome drinks (I brought them to my room). You pick up what you need from the ample amenity bar, such as toothbrushes and combs, before entering your room. It seems to be a baby-welcoming inn, and families with infants were asked if they needed baby soap and a baby bath. I didn't take a look, but there was a kids' space next to the front desk. Even though the inn itself is not a new facility, it was cleaned thoroughly and the bathroom was really clean. Wi-Fi was also available, of course. The room was clean, and there was a name tag next to the door that said "Mr./Ms.", like the one I saw at the inn a while ago, and I was especially happy to feel welcomed. Now, let's take a bath! There aren't many obstacles inside the building, but there is a staircase between the lobby and the bath. It must have been newly renovated, as there is a lift for people with disabilities, which I thought was impressive. The private hot spring (usage time is 40 minutes) is too large for one person, so it seems like it would be good for a group of about 5 people. The hot spring water, also known as Hagihime no Yu, has a pH of 9.2 and is free-flowing. I was told that it would make my skin smooth, but it was actually smoother than I expected. I splashed it on my face and it made a huge difference in how my lotion absorbed afterwards. Of course, it's good to have a glass after the bath, but the "Fukazawa no Meisui" water that is prepared all over the hotel is said to be spring water from Bandai Atami, and it's really delicious, so I recommend you try it. Dinner is served at the restaurant next to the lobby. They take your order for the first glass when you check in, so you don't have to wait for your beer. The food is really well-crafted and fun to look at. When you try it, you'll be amazed at how it tastes! The staff were very attentive to my service and treated me like family, even though I was alone. During the meal, the staff grilled steaks and fried tempura in the open kitchen, which was really delicious!! Before we even asked for a refill, the staff called out to us, and brought out three types of Fukushima local sake so that we could compare them. The waiter here was Mr. I, who was at the front desk, and poured the sake with his knowledge that he also likes sake, making it a very memorable dinner. He also suggested a sake that was not on the menu, which was also really delicious...I felt great. After dinner, the lounge transitioned to bar time, and there were cup ramen and other midnight snacks available. It was a little cold at night, but the air conditioner had been replaced with a new one, so we slept soundly until morning. I'm embarrassed to write such a long story, but breakfast! The food was colorful and carefully prepared, and I felt that I was being treated very well, and I savored the food. I want to tell the head chef directly...! Before getting on the bus back, Mr. I said, "If you like, please bring me some coffee! You can drink it on the train!" I took him up on his offer and arrived at Bandai Atami Station with a drink in hand. I was born and raised in Tohoku, so it was like going back to my hometown and seeing my family. It was a really wonderful inn that made me feel relaxed and warm. I want it to become popular, but I don't want it to become harder to get reservations. I'm writing this review on my way home, still excited. I'll definitely use it again.
