"Opal Cove is a little dated both inside and out, but the amenities were great. The pool was a really good size and, despite being quite busy with families, it never felt overcrowded. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but the menu looked well suited for families. The resort itself was quiet, and our room was spacious, which was a big plus. The only real disappointment was that the bed sheets hadn’t fully dried and were damp near the bottom. As this was around 10pm, I didn’t call to have them changed, but unfortunately it made for a very uncomfortable night’s sleep. Overall, a pleasant stay with good facilities, but better attention to room preparation would have made a big difference."

"I was lucky to be able to book and stay at this place, as I booked it last minute (only about a week before staying there). Location is fantastic (on the fringe / outskirts of Coffs but close enough to be near everything you want to do / see), parking on site in front of each apartment, I loved that the accommodation was self contained with a full kitchenette complete with dishwasher, microwave, decent size fridge and stove top, plenty of crockery and cutlery available, separate bedroom / bathroom / kitchen and living area which I loved. It meant you felt like you were at home rather than in hotel accommodation. Staff were fantastic - helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Plenty of on site facilities e.g. games room, outdoor chess / checkers set, library of books. Pool and spa were closed when I visited but they advised me beforehand they were closed and I wasn’t planning on using them anyway since it’s winter, so not an issue for me. Price was great. I would definitely stay here again."

"Exceeded expectations. When we arrived, the service staff had already gone off work (when we left the hotel, the service staff had not yet started work), but the hotel is generally clean and hygienic, the room is spacious, and all kinds of facilities and tools are complete (except for the washing machine). It is a good resting place during the self-driving journey."
