Travelled with a friend in September for 11 nights, having already previously stayed here i knew to keep away from the 'standard' rooms as the bathrooms are horrific and they haven't done any refurb, so opted for a family room which i knew had a bath to step into to take a shower (the same as a superior rooms i previously stayed at) On arrival the check in was via a tablet on the wall, just made it a slow check in as the tablet is positioned so it's fully vertical and a nightmare to type on (please make adjustable so you can at least move it so you can type on the pad with ease) Eventually got sorted and room 311, third floor and car park view. Room as expected, living room (with bed in) bathroom and separate bedroom. 2 balconies - balcony off each room via the patio doors. We didn't pay for the air con, please note the room has 2 air con units and the charge was going to be 92 euros per unit! Due to Kos constant breeze we just slept with the patio doors slightly open, and when getting ready on an evening just opened front door and patio door and got a brilliant through breeze, however speaking to other guests if June/July/Aug air con was a must. There was also a charge of around 29 euros for the safe, again optional but most places i've stayed if you have to pay for a safe when you hand the key back you get a percentage of the money back, you don't here. Room old fashioned but knew what to expect, no refurb since i was last there in 2021. Hopefully the chain start to realise all the new modern hotels and apartments popping up around the village along with other places constant refurbing and it will give them a push to start to make changes. Can't complain out cleanliness of the room, it was spotless, the cleaner was in daily and done an amazing job. Shower was the normal scenario, shower curtain attacking your body :-) but it was fine as no flooding due to it being within a bath, One day i got so sick of the shower curtain scenario i got the lift down to minus 1 and used the pool showers which are brilliant, i would recommend that if you have one of the standard rooms. The pool area is fab, beds comfortable it's just very very windy if the kos breeze is up, we used to prefer to sunbath at the Kris Mari pool, found it way more shaded from the wind and the pool not as deep so wasn't as cold. Staff were brilliant, especially the reception staff. Always pleasant and helpful. Never without a smile. Location i knew having stayed before, it's at one end of the village, quiet so great for getting sleep. plenty of bars and restaurants around and a 10-15 min easy walk to the square. We loved East Coast for a full English for 8 euro - great value. Breakfast i never went but my friend did and said it was the most basic continental he had ever had. Worst part being the freezing cold eggs! he said it would have been better if the hard boiled egg option was at lease lukewarm! That said it done the job for a couple of mornings - toast, egg, ham, cheese and
