My place for calm and peace in the Cyprus mountains. This hotel is really luxurious, you can feel it from first step into it, all stuff super friendly and helpful, everything so beautifully decorated and made. The room is spectacular. Really the best hotel around Paphos

. We stayed at the Petra Residence, which had four bedrooms and a private pool. The villa was lovely, spacious, and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to prepare homemade meals for the kids, and having a washer-dryer was a big convenience during our stay. The highlight for us was the breathtaking mountain view—it really added to the sense of peace and calm. This is an ideal place if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful family holiday. The private pool kept our kids entertained for hours, which was a huge plus. However, I would say that beyond that, there isn’t much for children to do on-site. Because of this, I’d recommend planning some activities outside the resort if you’re coming with little ones. A car is definitely a must. Walking from the residence to the restaurant for breakfast would have taken us about 15 minutes or more, which is not very practical with young children. The breakfast itself was okay but offered a very limited selection. Staff interactions were mixed—some were warm and friendly, while others just went about their duties. Compared to another 5-star resort we stayed at in Paphos, the reception at Minthis felt rather bland and not up to what I would expect from a 5-star property. The peace, calm, and scenery are what make this place special, but it feels more suited for adults looking to relax rather than for families with kids. I personally think it would work better as an adult-only hotel. The main outdoor pool was only slightly larger than our private one, and again, the walk to get there was too far for our kids. There was also no evening entertainment for children. Overall, I’d recommend Petra Residence at Minthis if you want a quiet retreat with stunning views and plenty of tranquility. For families, it’s manageable if you plan ahead and arrange activities for kids outside the resort.
