Five ladies enjoyed a truly unforgettable family holiday at Niraamaya Retreat in Kovalam. Every aspect was superb – from the stunning accommodation and delicious food to the warm, attentive service. Wellness was a central focus of our stay, guided by the incredible Unni, who led morning yoga sessions by the sea that catered beautifully to both beginners and experienced yogis in our group. The daily wellness activities added a special touch of balance and rejuvenation. The spa therapies were exceptional – each treatment was thoughtfully tailored by skilled therapists to meet our individual needs and concerns. A truly relaxing and enriching experience in a breathtaking setting – we can’t wait to return!

I went to Mauritius a few months back and I can say with full confidence that Niraamaya experience in Kerala was better or at par with my Maldivian and Mauritius stay. You can go for both leisure and detox as it has one of the best ayurvedic tharepies in India.

A beautiful place with a magical energy. Old trees, birds and flowers. Lovely, friendly staff, good food and healing ayurvedic treatment. The Yoga Classes by the sea are the perfect start for the day - they connect you with the nature around you and your inner self.

What a beautiful hotel! The setting is incredible, with many styles of authentic cottages amongst the forest and most overlooking the ocean. A nice pool area, although could do with a few more sun loungers. We were a bit worried about the photos of the port in the pictures we’d seen, but it genuinely didn’t impact us or affect the hotel’s ambience. The staff were fantastic, so friendly, attentive, and made the stay feel very special. There are a range of free activities each day, including yoga and pottery. The food was delicious at all times of the day - it was one of the most expensive on our trip, but it felt worth it. We appreciated that they had an alcohol licence, enjoying a beer at the pool bar to watch the sunset. The beach was scenic, but there was lots of litter and no loungers. Of note, the sea is too dangerous to swim in - if you’re after a dip, you’ll need a trip to Kovalam town.

I stayed at Niraamaya Retreats - Kovalam Beach Resort from 27th February to 10th March 2025 and had an incredible 14-day experience. Known for its world-class Ayurvedic treatments, I chose a wellness package that included personalized therapies, therapeutic massages, and a specially curated vegetarian diet. The meals, prepared with fresh spices, were an absolute delight. Set on a scenic hillside surrounded by lush greenery, the resort offers stunning views with the beach just 50 meters away. However, some paths are uneven with multiple steps, so walking carefully is advised. The resort is committed to eco-conscious living, promoting sustainability among guests. A highlight of my stay was sunrise yoga by the seaside, where the soothing sound of waves enhanced the meditation experience. The staff were exceptional, ensuring every guest felt welcome and cared for. Housekeeping maintained impeccable cleanliness, sweeping daily for mosquitoes and providing nets for a peaceful, bite-free sleep. A special thank you to the team for their warm hospitality and the thoughtful gift—a beautifully engraved wooden box with my name and authentic Kerala spices, which I will cherish. This retreat has been life-changing, helping me with weight loss and overall well-being through Ayurveda, especially when Western medicine had failed me.

One of the best Luxury Ayurvedic resorts in Kovalam, Kerala - We stayed there for two nights. There are different kinds of cottages with traditional Kerala architecture that feature earthy interiors, natural surroundings, nice walkways, and open-to-sky rain showers. You can go to the temple, local fish market, or famed backwaters from there or relax and spend time inside and enjoy the heavenly setting. Whether by the pool or at the restaurants, you can have spectacular views of the Arabian Sea. Private beaches! Evening and morning yoga and meditation classes! Live music by the pool while you enjoy your dinner and very courteous hard-working staff. Gourav Deb the chief of operation was very welcoming. If we go next time we will just stay inside. Love the peaceful place so much.

We had a good experience. Beautiful resort. Clean hygienic rooms. Quite and peaceful. Helpful staff. Massage is also pretty decent. Very serene environment...perfect for meditation or yoga.... or just some quite time by yourself thank you for a wonderful stay.

I had an amazing experience at the Niraamaya Wellness Retreats in Kovalam and highly recommend this exceptional and idyllic destination. I did a five day personalised yoga and meditation retreat which was absolutely wonderful and tailored to my needs thanks to Unni the most gentle, patient and accomodating yoga Guru I ever met. The highlight of the retreat was the Christmas Eve Gala and Christmas day celebration with an elephant which were both astonishing. A huge thank you to the whole team for their hard work, caring hospitality and making my stay memorable. Thank you in particular to Akshay from housekeeping, Gouri from the Samsara restaurant and last but not least to Gourav Dev, Chief of Operations who went above and beyond throughout my whole stay and helped me plant a memory tree. There's still Human Kindness in the world and you can find it at Niraamaya in Kovalam.
