I honestly can't recommend this place more than enough. From friendly staff, nice amenities, really great views, and a sauna and an onsen. I can't recommend this place more than enough. 10 stars.

Our stay at Fukuchi-In was amazing. We slept in a traditional japanese room and had a delicious dinner and breakfast in another incredibly beautiful room, shared with other guests. We attended the morning prayers and enjoyed the indoor and outdoor onsens. There was heating in the room :)

Witnessing the morning chanting was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The front desk staff spoke excellent English, and everyone was warm and welcoming. Guests are free to explore the temple grounds and enjoy the serene Zen garden. The Shojin Ryori meal is an absolute must-try.

Good stay, the staff was nice. I appreciated the onsen both carbonated and open air hot tub. The cerimony in the morning was a bit too much Giorgiolona

The grounds are absolutely beautiful, but the rooms are pretty rundown. The whole experience was just fine. If you are on a budget, stay here. Otherwise, I'd recommend a different spot.

The quality is less post Covid .

Really unique experience

Staying in the temple is a very unique experience! The morning class is very grand and the monks recite the Liqu Sutra!

This is the most cost-effective lodging house I have ever stayed in Koyasan. It has a beautiful courtyard, the food tastes great, the service is very thoughtful, the hot springs can wash away the fatigue of the day, and the cost-effectiveness is also very good. I will choose this place again when I come to Koyasan in the future.

The service is very good, many waiters can speak English, the location is not very convenient, so the environment is quiet. Because it is a Japanese temple, I personally think it is not suitable for large groups of people to stay. There are not many restaurants around. I stayed on weekdays and many restaurants were closed. Overall, it is good, breakfast and dinner are very exquisite.

I have to give it a full five points. I was very satisfied. The room was given the best view. I was reluctant to leave the hotel and wanted to stay in the hotel for a day. The main attractions can be reached by foot, and the hot spring is the only natural hot spring. The carbonated hot spring is very special and feels very good.

The room was very clean, breakfast and dinner were delicious, the service attitude at check-in was very good, but the service after check-out was quite poor. It rained heavily when we left the hotel that day, and we hoped to sit in the lobby for a while to wait for the bus, but the service staff did not let us in and asked us to wait at the bus station. In short, we were happy to check in, but disappointed to leave. We hope that in special weather, some conveniences can be provided to facilitate the departure staff to take a temporary rest or go to the bathroom.

I came to meditate alone. I was very attentive to breakfast and dinner. My favorite thing was the carbonated hot spring. I soaked in it twice a day! Haha, I’ll come back next year. I recommend you to experience copying scriptures. It’s very quiet and makes you feel relaxed.
