An interesting experience to live in a Buddhist temple. The staff is friendly and attentive.
You can't count on food in the temple, there is a store nearby where you can buy everything and eat.

Liked The morning religious ceremony was great. The monks make us participate in prayer, the experience is unique. The temple is beautiful and we appreciated the Japanese decorations. The atmosphere of the dinner is very special, we feel disoriented. The dinner was good. The geographical location is excellent. Disliked It is true that the life of monks is minimalist, on the other hand the price of the room with private bathroom is exorbitant. We would have appreciated an isothermal carafe filled with water with two glasses. This is not an exaggerated request, it is ecological and inexpensive considering the price. Breakfast was served during the ceremony. When we arrived in the dining room, all the dishes were at our table. The hot dishes were cold. To speed things up, the cold dishes can be placed before our arrival, but the hot dishes should be served when we are seated. We were disappointed that the walk with the monks in the evening was not included in the high price of the room. (Around $20/person for a night at $800). Date of stay: November 2024
