Diamond Place Ao Nang

The accommodation is clean, close to the sea, and easy to travel to. There's also a swimming pool at the hotel.

The rooms aren't new, but they're still well-maintained, and everything you need is available. The pool is decent. Overall, it's pretty good value for money. But keep two things in mind: 1) There seems to be an issue with the room doors – they're quite hard to close without significant force. And when you do apply that force, it's tough to gauge how much, resulting in the door slamming shut with a very, very loud bang. You can hear it in your own room, even with the door closed, like a pistol shot right next to your ear. And there are many rooms on each floor, and they're all booked up during high season... 2) About 30 meters from the hotel building, there's a local Muay Thai center that often hosts local tournaments until about 11 PM. You can clearly hear the commentator even with the windows closed. So, stock up on earplugs :)

The hotel was lovely and very well located, and the staff were top-notch. Don't hesitate, you can go with your eyes closed, I highly recommend it.

Can't complain for the price. Some night lighting for the access road would be a good addition, and the trees could use some trimming.
