Hotel Denoel

Stay at the end of June with a couple of friends from Albania. New hotel right on the beach and very clean rooms. We had triple rooms because we both have a little girl and the double bed is on a mezzanine with rather steep stairs but I can understand this to optimize the spaces even if I find it dangerous. We had to change rooms the day after arrival but we had already been warned of this. I would recommend a check on the days of departure/arrivals because there was always something not working between the TV, curtains, air conditioner or in the bathroom, both in the two rooms that we occupied and by our friends. Coming from a tourist area we are already aware that it is not easy to meet all the needs or follow all the points of a structure and for this reason our request was only for the curtain that worked both for privacy and blackout reasons . On the other hand, excellent and fast wifi and being a non-EU country given the exorbitant telephone costs it is important. Ours was supposed to be a holiday of relaxation and rest except that the hotel is right in front of a disco (really fine furnishings) which had deafening music from 10am to midnight. Unfortunately, there is a widespread idea that high volume is good: bad, very bad, in fact even with earplugs there is great discomfort. Guests were annoyed by this so much so that some felt forced to check out early, cashing in on checkin and moreover without a refund. The icing on the cake at the time of booking the only choice was half board and in 5 days of stay every evening rocket salad, soup (with 35 degrees I can imagine the fun), pasta and fruit and the choice was whether to eat them or not or at most they made pasta with tomato or white sauce: and this is half board????? The owner's attention to the guests' complaints about both the half board and the neighbor's music were bordering on ********. I repeat, this is a hotel with potential but I can only recommend it to people who have never had a holiday before or to young people who like to get high with deafening music (paying attention to the stairs to the mezzanine) and dinner is a non-essential optional extra. It is not suitable for families and for those who already have experience of travel and services.
