Doubletree by Hilton Properties in Kuala Lumpur

Booking this hotel was an absolute mistake. The environment is comparable to a 3-star domestic hotel or even a business hotel, and the rooms are as basic as a guesthouse. When you check in, you absolutely MUST ask for a quiet room!! Because one side is right next to the LRT, and trains pass by every few dozen seconds, making it impossible to sleep due to the noise. We asked for an extra bed, and this supposedly large hotel claimed all extra beds were sold out. We ended up with three of us squeezed onto one bed the first night. The next day, we moved to a relatively quieter room facing a different direction, but they still said there were no extra beds. They suggested we could use a blanket to sleep on the sofa, but that blanket smelled incredibly foul, like it hadn't been washed in years. We asked for a comforter instead, and they brought another stinky blanket. After much back and forth, they finally said an extra bed was available. Oh, and also, our luggage took an hour and a half to be delivered to the room, and when it finally arrived, it was someone else's. We had to go down to the front desk ourselves to get our bags. The hotel doesn't even have a proper lobby; it's on the second floor of a shopping mall. All in all, it was a complete misstep. If you do decide to stay here, make sure to ask for a quiet room! Definitely avoid the side near the railway! The bedding was clean, new, and comfortable, which was a plus. It's a 15-minute walk to KLCC.

I stayed one night at DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya mainly because I was attending a wedding reception at BoraOmbak, which is conveniently just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. The location was definitely a big plus. The room was spacious and comfortable, but unfortunately it wasn’t very soundproof. I could hear car honking from outside as well as people talking in the corridor, which slightly affected my rest. Breakfast was decent. I tried the nasi minyak with ayam masak merah, which was really delicious and filling. I wanted to try more dishes, but some items were slow to be refilled. Overall, it was a convenient stay for a short visit, especially if you’re attending an event nearby.

spent a nite due to overnight flight transit. arriving late afternoon and need to unload 2 heavy luggage by myself as the security and another staff just stand at the entrance and watch. not a good welcoming first impression. receptionist was good and nice to be given the signature cookies. however noticed that the way it was given to guests not really sincere, is more like a SOP to follow. guests were only being asked if they were allergic to nuts after being given the cookies ! room is nice but shower cubicle design need to look into seriously as water is seeping out easily despite the door being closed properly. got a torn bath towel as well....:( location is good adjacent to central mall. breakfast spread is very good with choices of western, malay, chinese and indian fare. overall is good only softskills needs improvement.
