Well. The hotel as an idea is generally fine, BUT all the rooms are moldy. Bed was damp. Mold even on the toilet seat Half of the things are broken. Tv remote is missing.
Bed is fine. There is an electric socket next to the bed. Fridge. Cups,. No spoons tho.
And on all of that, they took a **** and rolled over it.
Third world thinking in its pure form.

This hotel's location on Petaling Street is super convenient for food, drinks, and entertainment – everything is right at your fingertips! Getting around is a breeze too, with Monorail, MRT, LRT, and the airport bus all within a 1km walk.
The check-in process was smooth and quick, and I just needed to pay a RM100 deposit.
There's a convenient store right inside the hotel's entrance that sells a lot of different items.
The room had everything I needed, except for a fridge. The TV channels were pretty decent as well.

Overall, this was a good hotel with a pleasant experience. The room was comfortable and fairly clean, and the staff were helpful when needed. The location was a plus, although there were some minor issues, such as noise at night or limited amenities. Despite that, the stay was enjoyable, and I think it offers good value for the price.

Molds everywheree!! Bed sheet and bed cover stained. The roof of the bathroom is leaking. The building is really really old and the coridor is so creepy. We got a blackout during our stay. Won't ever come back and won't recommend.

My overall experience at Floresta Hotel Chinatown was fair to good, making it suitable for short stays or travelers primarily focused on city sightseeing. The hotel's greatest advantage is its extremely convenient location in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown, with abundant amenities nearby. It's within walking distance of popular attractions like Petaling Street, Pasar Seni, and Central Market. There are also numerous local restaurants, coffee shops, and convenience stores in the vicinity, saving a lot of time and effort for dining, shopping, and public transport – a big plus for tourists.
Regarding the accommodation, the rooms are generally designed for economy, so space isn't generous, but essential facilities like air conditioning, hot water, TV, and Wi-Fi are all available and perfectly adequate for daily use. It's ideal for guests who prioritize rest over luxury. The bed linens were reasonably clean, and while soundproofing was average (occasionally hearing corridor or outside noise at night), it was still within an acceptable range. The front desk staff were friendly, and check-in and check-out processes were smooth, with basic needs being addressed.
However, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve. One notable point is the lack of free parking, which is inconvenient for guests arriving by car, as they'll need to find paid parking nearby, incurring additional time and cost. Furthermore, some facilities appear a bit dated, and the overall decor is rather simple. Travelers with higher expectations for their accommodation environment might find it somewhat lacking.
Overall, Floresta Hotel Chinatown is an economy hotel that excels due to its location. If your itinerary focuses on city activities, sightseeing, and food exploration, and you don't have high demands for accommodation quality, it remains a reasonably good value-for-money option. However, if parking convenience or newer facilities are important to you, you might want to consider other options.

Unfortunately, this was the worst hotel stay I’ve experienced. We had to change rooms three times due to cockroaches, and there was no hot water throughout our three-night stay. The rooms and facilities were very run-down — flickering lights, a broken door latch, and overall poor cleanliness.
That said, the staff were polite and responsive, and they tried their best to help. However, good service cannot make up for serious hygiene and maintenance issues. I chose this hotel based on good reviews, but it was a huge disappointment. I would not stay here again.

Location is right in the middle of Chinatown! A lot of great places to eat. And even if you are hungry in the middle of the night you can find something yummy!
As the room.. it’s pretty old, but it’s ok if you stay there for a couple of days
Also I loved the view from our window 🌸
