The Kuala Lumpur Journal Hotel

The hotel is clean and tidy, with an excellent location. It's within walking distance to Pavilion, the Twin Towers, Petaling Street, Jalan Alor, Merdeka Square, and the art district. From the room, you can see the Twin Towers, and there's a night market and metro station right outside, which is incredibly convenient.

Excellent location, close to the subway station and right in the city center. It's just a few minutes' walk to Jalan Alor and shopping malls are also within walking distance. There are many restaurants and eateries open at night, so you can easily grab a late-night snack anytime.

The hotel's location is actually great, with the Petronas Towers right behind it and Lot 10 shopping mall in front. However, the entrance road is a bit narrow, giving it the impression of a small guesthouse. The room amenities are excellent, including a Nespresso machine and a minibar. The rooftop pool doesn't directly face the Petronas Towers. Breakfast was quite ordinary.

The location is excellent, just a short walk from the popular McDonald's in Bukit Bintang. It's a quiet spot amidst the bustling area, and you can easily get around by subway or LRT if you don't take a taxi. The decor and furnishings aren't luxurious, more like a budget hotel in China, but the two beds were perfect for our family of three. They restocked the mini-fridge and water daily, and three breakfasts were included. While the breakfast and afternoon tea buffets didn't offer a huge variety, they were decent. Overall, it's great value for money. The area is pretty quiet at night, though there's a bar nearby that can get a bit noisy on weekends. There are also plenty of good and affordable food options around.

The room was really old, and the hot water kept turning cold during my shower – I've never experienced anything like that in all my years of staying in hotels. The cabinet door for the water heater was incredibly dirty, covered in dust. The exposed wiring for the bedside kick light was a huge safety hazard. The duvet smelled moldy. Paying 700 RMB a night for a hotel like this is just unbelievable. It felt more like the quality of a 200 RMB guesthouse in China. Besides the good location, there were no other redeeming qualities.

The hotel service was excellent, very attentive and thoughtful. They even helped us organize our toiletries and slippers. The doorman always opened the door for us. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable for sleeping. The best part is its prime location, making it convenient to go anywhere. Highly recommended!
