Starus Hotel Bukit Bintang

We couldn't check in until 8 PM because the room wasn't cleaned yet. Then, at 10:55 PM, they told us they were fully booked and put us in the last available unit, even though we had specifically requested not to be in a back room. They said it was because we checked in late and they couldn't rearrange anything. After getting to the room, we kept finding small cockroaches. I just don't understand it. Think carefully before you book here.

The most basic requirement for a hotel stay is cleanliness, and this hotel completely fails on that front. Avoid at all costs! Firstly, there were cockroaches in the room – absolutely disgusting! The moment I saw them, I decided to check out. Secondly, on a day I extended my stay, I came back late to find the bathroom hadn't been cleaned at all. It makes you wonder how clean anything else could possibly be. The lighting in the room was also incredibly dim, relying only on a few lamps, which was really frustrating. As for the service, when I checked out, I informed the front desk about the cockroaches. Their response was just 'okay, noted,' with no apology or any other reaction.

The environment is clean and tidy, and the location is excellent (close to the night market and railway). The room is spacious and well-equipped. Guests should note that a 100 MYR deposit is required upon check-in, but it will be refunded upon check-out.
