Super Hotel Kumamoto Ekimae Natural Hot Springs

Excellent location, just across the road from Kumamoto Station, making it convenient to get everywhere. There's a free bar on the first floor, but I don't drink so I didn't try it. I suggest adding some soft drinks, as not everyone drinks alcohol and there are also children. The breakfast buffet was decent and had a good variety. Checkout was a breeze, just walk out and you're done, very streamlined.

The location is fantastic, right across from the train station. The room was quite small, and the bathroom had a bit of a smell. Plugging the bathtub drain helped a lot. Since it was very cheap, it was acceptable.

This hotel is perfectly located directly opposite Kumamoto Station, just a short walk across the road. The check-in instructions were very detailed, including information in Chinese on how to use the password lock, the onsen (hot spring), and details about drinks and breakfast. I really appreciated the wide selection of pillows and the variety of skincare products offered, including body lotion! It was a lifesaver as I hadn't packed any hand cream or body lotion. The breakfast, featuring both Japanese and Western options, wasn't vast but was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. The room size was typical for a Japanese hotel, and the soundproofing was excellent; I usually struggle to sleep well, but I had a fantastic night's rest here! The onsen was also a great bonus—perfect for soaking after a day of sightseeing. They even offer evening drinks and a 'goodnight tea'! The hotel management clearly put a lot of thought into traveler needs. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Kumamoto! A perfect 10/10 travel experience.

They gave me a Kumamon cookie when I filled out the survey at checkout 😂 I wrote that 'the small breakfast bread was delicious' and it really was! So good!!

The hotel's location is pretty good, with the bus stop from the airport right outside. However, the room was extremely small – so tiny that I had to open my suitcase on the bed. They do have a Happy Hour from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. If you're not too picky about room size, it's an option to consider.
