Elephant Court Thekkady

Our group had a wonderful time in the Elephant Court. The service and food were great, the houses inviting and I enjoyed e. g. the additional massage very much. A highlight for me was the artwork which I received from Alisha. She covered my hands with the most beautiful Henna-Mandelas I've ever seen. The ladies in my group were also very touched about her work. It was just a matter of time, that they could not have this experience. Above the qualified Artwork, I experienced Alisha as a very friendly person, who gave my staying in the elephant court a very special memory.

This is a lovely setting for a hotel. It has a central reception, dining and pool area with rooms set in pairs on a gentle forested hill side. The rooms are spacious and have a nice balcony. The room had a split system A/C unit, which allowed easy temperature control. The restaurant offers a buffet with a wide selection of food. The hotel is a bit of a walk to the town centre. I think the room design squanders its natural strengths. The rooms have a lovely outlook but hardly any windows, making the room quite dark and gloomy. The room has a double door with 2 small ***** windows on either side, with difficult to use blinds on them. You can’t leave the door open due to marauding monkeys.

We stayed at The Elephant Court on a recent family trip. The hotel has its charm and potential, but our experience was a mix of good and disappointing moments. Here’s an honest breakdown: Pros: Nice Property: The hotel overall is nice with a peaceful ambiance suitable for a relaxing family trip. Nice views inside the property to shoot. Spacious and Clean Rooms: The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable, offering a good space to unwind. Clean Washrooms: Bathrooms were well-maintained and hygienic. Good Food: The food quality was good and flavorful, which added to the pleasantness of our stay. Cons: Poor Reception Experience: Reception was extremely disappointing. There was no welcome drink, no proper greeting, and the staff at the front desk didn’t seem responsible or warm. Partial Treatment: We noticed a clear difference in the way foreign guests were welcomed compared to Indian guests. As soon as a foreign group arrived, everything from greetings to service improved drastically — which felt quite unfair and disheartening. Room Allocation Issues: Despite requesting adjoining rooms (especially as we were traveling with an 82-year-old family member), the hotel allocated rooms on different floors. Even after speaking with the duty manager, the request wasn’t accommodated. Service at the Restaurant Needs Improvement: Although the food was good, the overall service and attentiveness of the restaurant staff could be much better. Overall: A short and nice stay, mainly due to the property itself and the quality of rooms and food. However, the front desk experience and service standards need serious improvement — especially in treating all guests equally and handling basic hospitality expectations.

Restuant looks very good, but Glasses are stinking. On complaibts also, they can't make them clean. At the time of check in we went to the restaurant and complaint about the stinking glasses, but the same thing continue on 2nd day brwakfast also. On complaining to Mr. Sathish at Hotel, he tried very much to resolve the issue, but unfortunately issue remains the same.proper hygene is not made at the restaurant, for cutleries and plates also, we need to complain for cleanliness. At a 5star property such a poor restaurant.....not recommended at all for restaurant. Property looks verybgood, but too much dry eaves are on the ground everywhere. All other things are good.

This is a decent choice for stay at Thekkady. We stayed here few years,back .Rooms are good but not so great. Expected better rooms. Bathrooms are decent. Rooms are provided with a good size balcony but room in which we stayed had view of Rooms of property itself. Services were good. Food was good. Staff at restaurant was very humble ,listen to us carefully and done best efforts to make our dinner experience better. KUDOS to restaurant staff. Overall a nice property provided with swimming pool ,good restaurant, different reception area ,however Rooms could be better.

They make you feel important. All thanks to the staff there. Hats off to you guys. I would only request you to keep the pool accessible as we did pay for the resort services and not only for the room. Rest everything was to the point. Thank you. ✨✨✨
