Soneva Fushi is one of the most magical places I’ve ever been in my entire life. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave your every need is taken care of. I went with my husband and our 3 children (5, 3 and 4 months old) and we all had the most amazing holiday. The food (special mention to the breakfast - sensational!) was amazing and varied. The kids club and babysitters were fantastic and very capable. The villas are so gorgeous, spacious and extremely well kept. Having three young children I truly forgot what it was like to feel relaxed however when my older boys were at kids club and my baby was sleeping in his cot, I was able to read my book in the sun and dip in and out of the crystal clear ocean and it was HEAVEN. Special mention to Micky, our barefoot guardian, who felt like part of the family by the end of our stay. We can’t wait to return!

D1 入住沙屋 私人泳池和沙滩玩水 从房间走向沙滩 阳光明媚 豁然开朗 晚上out of blue吃晚餐 （out of blue有出乎意料之意 马代的第一餐着实惊艳） D2 一早醒来就看到酒店布置的周年纪念沙画 很漂亮 吃完早餐参加酒店赠送的浮潜（酒店赠送的）两位专业的海洋生物学家带我们一家四口 从戴面具呼吸管脚蹼 到沿着海沟欣赏 非常棒的体验 中午蹭了几口娃的免费餐饮 下午把孩子扔进儿童客户中心（the Den）去享受酒店赠送的六十分钟spa （是的 又是酒店赠送的 因为周年纪念 从30min升级到60min）还有一个赠送的冷冻项目 我们由于胆小没有尝试 D3 下了一夜的雨 吃完早餐小朋友就去the Den和昨天新交到的朋友玩了 我们就收拾搬去水屋 等我们搬完后雨也停了 大家就在水屋玩游泳池滑滑滑梯和浮潜 由于突降暴雨取消了追海豚活动（还是赠送的）在户外的乒乓球室打了好久的球 D4. 绕道赤脚骑行 在密林中一点也不晒 看到了一群抢壳的寄居蟹 抓到了眼睛透明怕痒痒的螃蟹 下午继续回水屋玩水 傍晚自费玩了索道和山顶餐厅 主厨是印度人 整个用餐过程非常愉快 运气很好当天夜晚满天繁星 晚饭后还去了酒店的观星台 专家Shizu小姐给我们看星星并仔细介绍 还为我们拍到清晰的月坑和银河 D5 一清早追海豚失败 吃完早餐离岛 美中不足的是来去都没有坐到索尼娃自己的水飞 沟通两天还是未果 所以我给这次行程的打分是almost perfect 岛上的餐食都非常好吃 每个菜系都有专业国家的厨师掌勺 比如意大利披萨和意面就是意大利厨师 堪比各式各样的米其林餐厅 而且从只包早餐升级到了包晚餐 我们只花了饮料和山顶晚餐的钱 还有最棒的一点是 洗一篮衣服只要十块几美金 是我觉得fushi最最最性价比的一个收费项目 Last but not least真的好爱fushi的自然风 光着脚丫 享受了五天的惬意 感谢我们的赤脚管家Laura 非常有耐心且专业 提供了明明白白事无巨细的安排 让我们整个人都放松了下来 期待以后再来

We spent two magical nights at Soneva Fushi before heading to Soneva Jani, and it completely stole our hearts. Even though it’s one of the larger islands in the Maldives, it somehow feels so cozy and peaceful. There's something really special about the atmosphere there. We stayed one night in a beach villa and one in a overwater villa, and both were absolutely incredible in their own ways. The restaurants were amazing. We especially loved Out of the Blue, such an impressive design for a restaurant, and the food was delicious. One of the highlights was dinner at Fresh in the Garden, a magical spot surrounded by greenery, and we ended the evening at the Observatory, stargazing through a telescope with the resort’s own astronomer. Looking at planets while hearing stories about the universe was such a cool, unexpected experience. We also tried the zipline, which was way more fun than we expected. And honestly, what made our time at Soneva Fushi even more special was our host, Regina. She was absolutely incredible! The most thoughtful, attentive, and effortlessly kind person. I’ve never experienced that level of care and attention at a hotel before. Regina, you're a star! Soneva Fushi will always have a very special place in our memories.

I’ve been fortunate to stay at some of the world’s finest resorts globally and also in the Maldives – The Ritz, Four Seasons, One&Only, Como, Jumeirah, Six Senses – and rarely write reviews. I also hesitated with this given all the positive review but the readers should discern with all the info. Last year was a milestone birthday for us and we booked Soneva Fushi with great anticipation. This was a true “bucket list” stay. I’ve admired Sonu Shivdasani’s vision for years - since our first stay at Six Senses and expected something extraordinary. We arrived late last year 2024. The transfer flight from Malé was flawless and filled us with excitement. Unfortunately, the moment we stepped onto the island, the experience unraveled. Arrival & Welcome The welcome was among the worst we’ve ever experienced in the Maldives. The GM began greeting us, then abruptly walked away to take a phone call - which I over heard him telling off some poor staff member. Throughout our stay, his attitude was dismissive and distracted – more interested in his own dinner table than his guests. For a flagship property, this was shocking. Atmosphere & Grounds The island had a distinctly low-energy feel. “Rustic” here often crossed into “run-down.” The grounds were poorly maintained, some areas with odd smells, and the overall ambience felt tired rather than intentional. Villa We were placed in one of the new overwater villas – an enormous 4,500 sq ft space with a huge pool and slide - yes I know the pictures are wow. Impressive on paper, disappointing in reality. The pool had visible algae, furniture was worn, and the design felt more gimmicky than refined (sliding roof, awkwardly planned wardrobes, broken fittings). Even the basics – clean bedding and proper pillows – were lacking. Dining Our first dinner was one of the poorest we’ve had at any luxury property. A basic barbecue with below-average food quality, inconsistent drink service (the same cocktail arriving in different glasses), and a farmyard feel with chickens and rabbits running around the dining area. It felt chaotic, not curated. Service & Management To their credit, when we raised concerns, a couple of managers (not the GM) tried to help. But the issues were too fundamental – cleanliness, upkeep, energy of the island. None of it reflected the standard expected at this level and at the price they charge. Departure After One Night We had booked several nights but chose to leave after just one. My daughter even asked if we could go home – that’s how poor the atmosphere felt. Thankfully, our agent helped us transfer to Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru, where we spent the rest of our stay and immediately felt the difference. The Four Seasons team was warm, genuine, and attentive. Not more “luxurious,” just simply better in every way that matters our trip was saved and was memorable. Barefoot luxury at its best! Everything at Soneva was relaxed, chilled but perfect quality. All of the food we ate was delicious, the breakfast options are crazy. The ocean is beautiful and even at our beginner level of snorkelling we saw the most amazing array of sea life. The team here are wonderful, we had Christina looking after us and she was excellent, always on the WhatsApp to answer anything as well as suggestions and general check ins. Having the rooms available all day in 2 locations with food available was brilliant. I have to say all food was just delicious. I cant say enough about this resort, it was the most amazing place I have been in my life so far, and amazingly relaxed. Staying in the water villa was a real experience, and housekeeping were always going above and beyond to look after us. Also the gym is brilliant for a small island.
