Kunming M Hotel (Nanping Pedestrian Street Jinma Bijifang)

Chose Hotel M for this trip to Kunming, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations—I just had to leave a glowing review. 📍 Perfect Location The hotel is right near the Nanping Pedestrian Street, with the Old Street and the Golden Horse and Rooster Archways just downstairs. It's super convenient to head out for a stroll in the evening. Looking out the window, the night view of the illuminated ancient architecture is truly stunning—lively yet quiet. Snacks, malls, and supermarkets are all within easy reach, and Green Lake (Cuihu) and Nanqiang Street aren't far either. You really couldn't ask for a better location when visiting Kunming. 🛏️ Room Experience The room features a minimalist wabi-sabi style, with clean and elegant grey-white tones. The bedside lamp, small round table, and curved bench all show a great sense of design. The bathtub is a large, freestanding oval soaking tub, which is wonderful for unwinding with a bath at night. The bedding is clean and soft, and the soundproofing is quite decent—despite being right in the bustling downtown center, sleep quality wasn't affected at all. The room is equipped with a projector and Xiaodu smart controls, making it very cozy to lie in bed and binge-watch shows. 🤝 Attentive Service The receptionist was lovely, check-in was fast, and any requests were handled promptly. All questions were answered patiently; not overly enthusiastic, but just the right amount of professional warmth, making the stay very comfortable and relaxed. All in all, for this price point, getting a stylish smart room in such a prime location offers incredible value for money. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Kunming.

The room was relatively quiet, which was great, and the hygiene was good. It's very close to famous attractions nearby, and especially only a 5-minute walk from the subway station. I would choose this place again next time.

I stumbled upon this hotel online and booked it with no particular expectations, as I only needed it for one night. Before arriving, I knew it was on a pedestrian street, so cars couldn't pull right up to the entrance. My mother and I had to drag three large suitcases about 100-200 meters (which isn't far) to get there. I was initially worried it might be a bust, but the room turned out to be really nice! The best surprise was that besides having a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, there was also a bidet! Only a Malaysian would understand how much I appreciated that! My mom also found the hotel comfortable and pleasant, and the room design was lovely. The front desk service was excellent and very friendly. They patiently answered all my questions before check-in.

Traveling with seniors and children, I booked two rooms. The hotel is located on a pedestrian street, but it's surprisingly quiet despite being in a bustling area, especially the rooms not facing the street. The rooms are very spacious, and the facilities are new and smart. The cleanliness is also good, but the refrigerator's cooling noise was a bit loud at night, which affected our sleep.

The hotel is new and has convenient laundry facilities. It's very close to the Old Street and pedestrian street. The only drawback is that the road is narrow and gets very congested when taking a taxi.
