Atour Hotel Kunming Nanping Pedestrian Street Old Street

I've stayed here both times I've visited Kunming, and the rooms are fantastic. The mini-bar cookies and tea are delicious. The hotel is conveniently located with great transport links, and there are many old streets nearby for shopping and dining. The breakfast is rich, varied, and distinctive.

The location is unbeatable, with an incredible variety of amazing food right downstairs. There are also plenty of high-quality restaurants and malls nearby. The room facilities are excellent, and the service is top-notch. Highly recommended.

Location: Right on Nanping Walking Street, which is incredibly convenient. Turn left to enter the pedestrian street, or turn right to head towards Shuncheng Street and other areas. Taxis can drop you off directly at the hotel entrance. Room: We booked a suite. The living room had a triangular layout, while the bedroom was more conventionally shaped. Even the sink area wasn't a standard shape. Overall, it didn't really affect our stay, but it might not be ideal for those with a strong aversion to asymmetrical designs. The room was very kid-friendly for my little one. They provided building blocks, which kept my child happily occupied, and they loved hiding in the tent. The room had a 1.5m double bed and a 1.2m single bed. You can push them together, but be aware that the beds are connected to a night light, so you can't move them too far without exposing the wires. Breakfast: For our family's taste, we'd say this breakfast ranks among the best at Atour hotels. The noodle station, in particular, was fantastic; that pot of minced meat topping was incredibly fragrant. The lady working at the station was always so enthusiastic and welcoming every morning. Service: Check-in was pretty standard, nothing particularly memorable, but the lobby had a great festive New Year's atmosphere. Any requests we made by phone were promptly addressed. The check-out service was quite good, perhaps because we offered a few small suggestions. Price: During the Chinese New Year, value for money is hard to come by anywhere. If I had to say, the price was reasonable given the excellent location.

Extremely satisfied with this hotel! Since it's newly opened, all the facilities are perfect, and there were plenty of washing machines available in the laundry room. It's located right in the old town, so stepping out, you're surrounded by all sorts of snacks and street food, which is incredibly convenient. Plus, there are large shopping malls all around. Most importantly, the service was exceptionally good too!

Overall, the hotel is quite good – the facilities, breakfast, and rooms are all decent. My low rating for service is mainly due to the annoying price changes. When I booked, it was over 900 a night, but later dropped to over 700. Paying an extra 200+ per night is really frustrating. I understand hotels adjust prices regularly, but it's clearly unfair for those who booked early and paid more, only for later bookings to be cheaper. I hope the hotel can improve this, otherwise, no one will want to book in advance and risk paying more, which will lead to a higher vacancy rate.

The hotel is conveniently located near Wuyi Road subway station, surrounded by many shopping malls. It's about a 20-minute walk to Cuihu Park, making transportation quite accessible. The facilities are comprehensive, including a washing machine and dryer, and the self-service breakfast is also good.
