This hotel is fine. It has a comfortable bed and a decent breakfast buffet. It’s convenient for the subway or the large mall but you don’t get much of a sense of Kunming there.

This hotel is amazing, one of the best experience of all our trips around China. Staff are very friendly and helpful and they spoke good English. Breakfast was perfectly fine with a mixture of Chinese and western options. We had originally booked a deluxe queen room but the AC wasn’t working properly and the room became stuffy upon our arrival. We asked for help to fix it but the hotel offered us even a better solution. We were upgraded to a king suite, much bigger than our original booked room. This was a very generous offer. We will definitely come back to this hotel again in future.

Overall it was good, but there was no housekeeper as I read in the comments before booking. It was quite late when I arrived. It was pitch black when I entered the room and the lights did not turn on automatically. I had to walk to the bed in the dark to turn on the lights. The front desk was OK.
