The environment is grand, clean, and tidy. The family room's themed decor is very appealing, and my child loved it. The surrounding transportation is convenient, making it easy to get to all the major attractions, especially since the high-speed rail station is very close. There's a wide variety of delicious food nearby. The breakfast selection is diverse, and the service is warm and attentive.

A standard five-star resort hotel with both hardware and software on point. A no-brainer choice! Close to the Haigeng Dam with a pleasant environment. The breakfast is rich, the bedding is comfortable, and although the decor feels a bit dated, it's solid and stands the test of time.

The hotel facilities are great, with a gym and pool available in the evening. The room offers a splendid view, and the comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep. The made-to-order breakfast was delicious and served hot. The hotel's butler team was highly responsive and attentive to details. I left feeling very satisfied.

The hotel is huge and luxurious. It takes a long time to walk from the room to the breakfast buffet, but you can just think of it as a workout. The room is spacious, quiet, and well-cleaned. The service attitude is excellent. The hotel has a great location, very close to all the attractions around Dianchi Lake. The downside is that the toothbrush provided is of poor quality. I've stayed at several hotels in Kunming, and it seems they all use the same kind of terrible toothbrushes. Another thing is that the duvets provided by all these hotels are down comforters—they are way too thick, and there are no lighter blankets available.

The room was quite spacious and the gym was great. However, breakfast was overcrowded and felt a bit chaotic—it's probably better to go before 8:30 AM. The service was very good. The only downside is that the property feels a bit dated and lacks smart/modern tech features.

We took a family trip to Yunnan during the National Day holiday and had to adjust our itinerary last minute, heading back to Kunming from Dali earlier than planned. InterContinental Kunming was our final stop, and it turned out to be the best hotel experience of our entire trip. The property is sprawling and lush with greenery, boasting a rich Southeast Asian vibe. It's just a short walk to Haigeng Dam, and they even offer a shuttle bus to the Old Street. We also dined at the Chinese restaurant—both the food and the ambiance were fantastic.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the living environment was very quiet and peaceful. I was worried it might be noisy being close to the elevator, but it wasn't at all. The overall experience was fantastic. I'll definitely choose to stay here again the next time I visit Kunming. I also have to praise the hotel breakfast – the ingredients were fresh, and there was a great variety of dishes. The small pot rice noodles were particularly authentic. I wanted a bowl every morning!

The environment is elegant, the hygiene is spotless, the breakfast is plentiful, and the service is excellent. Although it's an older five-star hotel, it still has that 'Ferrari' charm! It's especially recommended for family trips!

This stay seriously tarnishes the InterContinental brand. There was hair from the previous guest on the bathroom fixtures, and even after complaining to the housekeeper, it was still there on the second night. I couldn't even bother to complain again; there was absolutely no improvement. Then, on the morning I had to catch my flight, the elevator was broken. Do they not maintain their facilities at all? Speechless! I'm extremely disappointed with the InterContinental Kunming. They only try to appease with small gifts, but there's no action taken in terms of procedures and management.
