Spacious rooms, great service, and we even got complimentary delicious Crossing-the-Bridge Rice Noodles for our multi-night stay. It's very kid-friendly, featuring free outdoor hot springs, both indoor and outdoor pools, a mini train, and the chance to feed peacocks, rabbits, and geese.

Overall, despite a few minor hiccups during our stay, the hotel was still very good. The duty manager, Sunny, handled everything exceptionally well with professionalism and enthusiasm – a definite thumbs up for her! The breakfast spread was quite generous, featuring many local dishes, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel's hot spring was incredibly relaxing after a long road trip and certainly deserves praise. However, the hotel should really pay attention to some aging and maintenance issues. Specifically, the soundproofing needs improvement, and the bathroom facilities in the rooms show signs of wear. I hope the hotel takes these points seriously.

First of all, the hotel offers exceptional scenery. From the room's balcony, you can enjoy a distant view of the West Hills, and the surroundings are wonderfully tranquil. The grounds feature black swans, peacocks, and flowing water landscapes, making it an ideal spot for solo travelers to unwind and relax. Secondly, the Mid-Autumn Festival room decor was quite ingenious, and the Phalaenopsis orchids placed in the executive room were both beautiful and elegant. The view and service standards of the Executive Lounge are above average, and the terrace offers a top-notch view. When the battery in my room's computer mouse ran out, the butler promptly arranged for a replacement of the same model to be delivered, for which I am very grateful. From an operational standpoint, consumables like this could easily be billed separately, so this was an extra bonus point. As both a long-term traveler and a hospitality professional with over thirty years of experience in service management, based on my stay, I would like to offer a few constructive suggestions for improvement: 1. The welcome fruit presentation felt rather perfunctory, served only on a simple wooden tray with loosely stretched cling wrap, detracting from the overall presentation. 2. The Guest Service Center phone often went unanswered for long periods, requiring multiple repeated calls to get through. 3. The bathroom was stocked with disposable bathtub bags and disposable toilet seat covers. From a guest's perspective, these items tend to evoke two associations: either the room cleaning standards are not up to par, or there is a lack of confidence in the guests' hygiene habits. Not all guests appreciate or approve of such amenities. 4. The Executive Lounge is equipped with high-quality coffee cups, but lacks matching stainless steel teaspoons, providing only disposable stir sticks instead. This creates a mismatch in the attention to detail. 5. The Executive Lounge lacks sufficient privacy; the space resembles a guest room hallway, allowing other guests to wander freely through the lounge area. 6. During my stay, a guest brought a photography crew to shoot wedding photos on the Executive Lounge terrace. After the shoot, the photography staff stayed in the lounge area to rest and help themselves to desserts, and no staff members intervened to dissuade them. This situation compromises the experience of paying executive guests. 7. The entrance facade of the breakfast restaurant is rather small, which fails to match the hotel's brand positioning and overall design style. 8. Frontline staff in the breakfast restaurant were predominantly interns, appearing tense and stiff-faced, lacking guest interaction and delivering a mechanical service. The root cause lies not with the interns themselves, but in the service shortcomings brought about by the hotel's cost-cutting and efficiency-driven strategies. 9. Throughout my 5-day, 4-night stay, I never saw any management staff in formal attire patrolling the floor, proactively inquiring about guests' experiences, or collecting feedback and complaints. The breakfast rush, in particular, is the golden window for on-site guest engagement, and missing it means a missed opportunity for client retention. Special praise goes to Guest Relations Butler Mia, who consistently did her utmost to respond to guest requests. Even when constrained by resources and authority, her proactive attitude in striving for guest satisfaction is commendable. I would just like to offer Mia one professional piece of advice: no matter how smooth and enthusiastic online WeChat communication may be, it can never replace face-to-face interaction during the stay. The optimal touchpoint is the check-in process; if she could personally accompany guests to their rooms and explain the facilities, it would quickly build a strong first impression and potentially turn ordinary guests into loyal ones. What impressed me most as a hospitality professional during this stay was Shi Yunli, an outsourced housekeeping staff member. Her service awareness and warm hospitality set a benchmark for service that far exceeds what her salary level might suggest. A large part of why I am willing to give the hotel a high score is due to the exceptional experience she provided. Overall, the hotel's pricing is higher than the average for five-star hotels in Kunming, but its hardware and overall service can only be described as mediocre. If the hotel continues to refine its service details moving forward and encourages employees to develop an awareness of proactive communication and warm hospitality, I would still prioritize staying here the next time I visit Yunnan.

An absolutely wonderful experience! The hotel's location is excellent, and the service is incredibly attentive. In addition to the usual breakfast items, they also offer freshly baked flower pastries. The executive lounge has a great variety of options and fantastic views. In the evenings, they even deliver sweet soup to your room, which was delicious! The mountain view from the room is also incredibly beautiful – so peaceful, with clear skies and fluffy clouds, making for a very relaxing stay. I especially want to commend our butler, Jingyu. She was always responsive and communicative, and her thoughtful arrangements made us so happy with the hotel that we extended our stay for another two days!

The location is quiet and not too far from Cuihu Park, making it convenient for getting around. While the room facilities aren't new, they are very tidy and clean. The garden even has cats, rabbits, and peacocks. With both indoor and outdoor pools, it's perfect for a family trip!

Secondly, the hot springs: subtly nestled within the resort, their temperature, location, and layout are all perfectly executed. Thirdly, the service: before arrival, Teresa and Mia reached out via WeChat to confirm my booking details. After checking in, every staff member – whether at the lounge, wellness center, lobby bar, or front desk – provided attentive service, minimizing any communication hassle and allowing me to fully relax. It truly felt like a home away from home, and I can't wait to return.

1. This hotel by Dianchi Lake primarily boasts its scenic views and fresh air. However, encountering a room contaminated with cigarette smoke can be quite a jarring contrast. Of course, smoking is a personal choice and uncontrollable. But smokers are a small segment of hotel guests; most are families with elderly and children. As a hotel, something should be done to safeguard everyone's health. The country has introduced many new regulations on smoking, and I hope the hotel can respond and implement positive oversight. 2. Regarding the buffet environment. Firstly, I was very satisfied with the wide variety of dishes, many with unique characteristics, available at this price point. However, the ventilation in the dining area is a significant problem. The staff explained that windows and doors couldn't be opened due to insects, which is a bit disappointing. If the air conditioning isn't strong enough, then air circulation should compensate, but unfortunately, the stuffy environment with cooking fumes and heat created a very unpleasant experience.
