We are very satisfied with this hotel. The hotel is very well located, near the metro station. It is very convenient to take a taxi but beware of traffic jams from 5 p.m. the hotel staff is very smiling and friendly. I particularly recommend: the very rich and varied breakfast; the well-equipped and very large fitness room to work out; the pleasant pool to swim and relax. The meal at the hotel is also very good and affordable. The hotel offers a menu at 108 yuan per person with a selection of very varied and delicious dishes. The Hotel is located in the center of Kunming. Two metro lines just nearly. One line direct deserve the airport and the other one direct rich the south railway station. By foot one can go to the historical city center. We booked the suite 2026 which is very spacious with big windows, overview the city. The decoration is outdated. The bed is pretty old. Sometimes the AC doesn’t work well. Breakfast is very good. All the stuff are very helpful and friendly. Overall is not a real 5 stars hotel but the price is very fair for what you get.

I thought this hotel was good value for money, considering its 5 stars and location in downtown Kunming. The room was spacious and the bathroom was well appointed, with a lovely bath(with very hot water which I often find lacking) and a shower with great water pressure. The only downsides were that I found the room itself(not the bathroom) to be a bit outdated in terms of the fixtures and fittings. Also, the gentleman who checked me in wasn’t particularly friendly. He couldn’t speak English(which is not a problem at all, although I would expect it in a five star hotel) but he didn’t say a word to me throughout the entire check in process until he gave me my key. There’s much more to communication than just language and I felt his customer service skills were a bit lacking considering his position on a reception desk.

Value for money. 2nd night stay in this hotel travel from Lijiang to Kunming. We check in late night and surrounding still have many restaurants and fruits stall still open. Very good Chinese breakfast and tea time is good for us before we travel to airport. We have requested to have room not face to main room. Even though is for 2 single beds but we have good sleep during the whole night without any noise from outside. Beds is comfortable and the room is clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Will come back this hotel when I travel to Kunming.

Excellent location. Was just 5-10min walk to Kunming station Hotel was clean but you can tell was dated. Nowhere as well-kept as the Jinjiang Classique hotel at The Bund, Shanghai I stayed. Family Room I booked was actually two bedrooms with connecting doors. Cute layout for kids. :D Food was ok. Nothing to rave about.
