Ok bed and everything. But just ordinary asian city hostel. Nothing too special. a little smelly lobby . But I liked the shower.

soft comfy bed. desk space. hangers. TV. nightgown thing. towels. there's a sizeable gap above the door which means you can hear a lot of sounds - my room was right next to the bathroom so when people dried their hair at night and in the morning it was quite loud. found the temperature a little bit warm but I guess if there's open space above the all the doors and there's steam from the showers that might be inevitable. Security: pass to get into the women's only floor, then you can lock your room from the inside . Amenities: there is a communal area with dining table, fridge, microwave etc. but don't expect full kitchen facilities (e.g. no sink or spoons). there's a lot of manga. close to nishitetsu kurume train station and a bus terminal. jr kurume station is a few bus stops away. restaurants and shops nearby. hostel is actually above a nice cosy restaurant/bar looking place but I was only on a brief stopover so didn't have a chance to visit

I am very satisfied with my stay at Hostel Ilfaro. I stayed here for 3 nights during July. You are only two min. away from the Kurume subway station and a food street just adjacent to the building. You check in via their online portal when you walk in, and the reception hands you your card key for access to the women’s sleeping area. There are 4 floors. The women’s floor is on the 2nd floor. It has a dining / living room with small fridge, sofa and dining tables and chairs and a tv. You use your card key to get into the sleeping area where it also has a separate locker area, a separate washroom, toilet room, shower room and a laundry nook with a washer and dryer. It was a nice surprise to have my own separate bed space with a tv, desk, chair and mirror. There is a folding door with a a small hook and ring to lock for privacy. You can hear everything bc there are no windows and the spaces are open at the top. But the 3 nights I was staying there, it was quiet and the bed was firm and comfy. I really appreciate the clean toilets and shower room. The only downside was the old carpet with stains and old musty smell that permeated the whole place. Also if you are a manga fan, they house gazillion manga books throughout the hostel.

Very close to nishitetsu kurume Station. About 30min walk from JR kurume Station. Hotel bedrooms are individua not the capsule type. There is a super single bed and a small writing table. Free breakfast is just a small portion of curry rice with a cup of coffee. Overall, I quite like the stay at this hotel

nice hotel, the room is private but open on the top so noise could be a problem, kind of hostel with more room and privacy, breakfast is included but I lost my ticket so can't really comment on this

Great stay. The place was like newly renovated, very clean. Wish the room had a lock, because there wasn't one, just a magnetic folding curtain door, but glad that there's a big locker for storing valuables.

I had a trouble modifying my reservation online, so I called the property for onsite help. The agent showed no hesitation in helping me, and went beyond and above to make sure that he came up with the solution to solve my problem. The hotel is very clean and offers excellent amenities for the price they charge, and I highly recommend it for anyone who needs a place to stay in Kurume. Even for local people because it is cheaper than a taxi fare in some cases.

I’m a sole traveller and choose to stay in this hostel. I got a single room. The room is clean and cozy. It meant to be a shared space with other but it was so cozy with plenty of room space. I would stay in the same place with the good price.

I've always had no problems staying at these places, but it's a shame that the free breakfast is no longer offered.

The room was quite large, with my own space, and very clean. It provided slippers, bathrobes, and toiletries. Breakfast was also served in the morning. For just over 200 yen a night, it was really good. It was also very close to Kurume Station on the Nishitetsu Railway.

It's larger than a youth hostel, but you can think of your hotel room as having a curtain instead of a regular door, so be careful with your valuables. Luckily, it wasn't too noisy the night I stayed. It's very close to the station. I'd recommend this place if you're just staying for a short time.
