good hotel and good food

An old hot spring hotel, with a large room and a nice view outside the window. We booked a Japanese style room (few domestic guests). The hot spring is very comfortable, one night stay and two meals, buffet style, good service, and they greeted everyone they met. There were performances at night, just like a resort hotel. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the station, which is not suitable for our time. It only takes 5 or 6 minutes to walk. It is also very close to Yubatake, about 7 or 8 minutes to walk, and Nishikawahara Park is also on the way. You can walk around. Not bad, not bad.

After completing the check-in procedures in the lobby, the waiter will bring a translation machine to introduce the hotel facilities, but the waiter who came to serve seemed a little impatient and in a hurry. The room is big, clean, spacious and comfortable, with 1 bathroom and 2 toilets. The large bath has an open-air hot spring, the locker room has a massage chair, and there is a water machine and popsicles outside the locker room, so you can enjoy it after taking a bath. The breakfast and dinner buffets are average, but the Kaiseki cuisine is good. If you want to upgrade to Kaiseki cuisine, you need to email/call the hotel. There are Yumomi and Taiko performances in the evening, and the audience can also participate in Yumomi.

The sheets of the tatami bed were not very clean, with a lot of black hair, probably because some black clothes were mixed in when washing in the large bath laundry room. The dinners ordered by domestic travel agents are all buffets, but the dinners ordered through overseas official websites are kaiseki cuisine, so if you want to experience kaiseki, you should order it on the official website yourself. The buffet breakfast and dinner are quite rich, and you will definitely have no problem eating enough. The hot spring is open from 2 o'clock every day to 10 o'clock the next day, and there are basically no people. The hot spring in the open-air bath is a rare cotton-no-yu in Gunma, which is very nourishing to the skin.

An unforgettable hot spring trip. It was our first wedding anniversary. The dinner was delicious, including long-legged crab and other sashimi. I specially arranged for the hotel to help me make an anniversary cake as a surprise for my wife. Thank you for your help. The arrangement also included free popsicle tasting after soaking in the hot springs, which was very good. It would be better if there was fresh milk for sale. When we left the hotel on the second morning, the hotel also gave us a pair of sake as a gift. Thank you to the hotel staff for your service.

The room is very spacious and very comfortable for a single person. The hotel is divided into three parts. Staying in the middle and upper floors of the Shinkeden, the view is very good. Don't walk from the bus station to the hotel with your luggage, especially when it snows heavily, the road is slanted and slippery, and it is easy to slip. The hotel has a special bus to and from the bus station, Yubatake and the hotel at a fixed time, so it is most convenient to take the hotel transfer. The hotel has performances every night, especially Japanese drumming, and the performers are very hardworking and serious. Although there are not many hot springs to choose from, the area is super large, so it doesn't feel crowded. The overall facilities of Sakurai Hotel are ideal.

Needless to say, the hot spring is great. The alpine botanical garden not far from the hotel has pleasant scenery. It's just that we discovered it too late and didn't have time to walk around.
