The hot water was very good.
I stayed there for 2 nights and enjoyed my time there.
The air conditioner was broken but they responded quickly and changed my room.
I was told that Kusatsu Onsen is highly acidic and gas rises from the hot spring field,
so electrical appliances are easily damaged.
I thought that made sense.

We took the Karuizawa bus to Kusatsu and walked to the hotel from the bus terminal. After passing Yubata, Google map showed that it took 15 minutes. There were up and down slopes along the way, especially the triple slope next to the hotel. It was very difficult to drag the luggage. There were no taxis and the bus took an hour. class. On the return trip, take the bus back to Tokyo, walk on a relatively flat slope, and pass by Kosenji Shopping Street, which takes about half an hour.

The hotel is about 200-250 meters downhill from Yubata (uphill on the return trip). If you have good foot strength, this is a good choice. The hotel has free parking, the breakfast is average, and the service is friendly.
