Breakfast was very good. There is no fried food and the seasoning is only gentle. The way to take it on an ordinary plate without a partition without using a tray is very smart and good. This hotel was in a really great location, right beside the main Kyoto train station. The room was very spacious and had a nice view of the Kyoto station so you could see the shinkansen trains come in. The only drawback is that at night you could hear the vehicles outside. I would definitely stay here again.

I booked 1 months ago to stay in Kyoto for 2 nights. I lived in Kyoto for two years before and knew the land insight, the subway and the bus route, so it was a convenient place, and I was surprised at 3500 yen for one night or two. I'm worried about whether this will make a profit. Get off the airport bus at Hachijoguchi, take a subway station from Kyoto Station to Gojo Station, and then rumbling my luggage for about 12 minutes. It's tough when it rains. For dinner, I walked to Karasuma Takatsuji for about 20 minutes. For those who don't have to walk, there are colors 々 and shops, so there is no inconvenience. The nearest convenience store is Family Mart at the corner of Omiya Dori, which leaves the hotel and walks to the left for 1 minute. The next day, I used a one-day bus ticket because the travel distance was long. The bus stop is close to Asahikawa Gojo (4 minutes walk) and Omiya Gojo (3 minutes walk), so it is convenient to take any route. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to JR Tanbaguchi Station, about 13 minutes to Hankyu Shijo Omiya Station and about 22 minutes to Kyoto Station. The front desk was Asian, but the response was fine. I had my luggage checked in until check-in, and during that time I washed it at the coin laundry on the 4th floor and waited at the convenience store. By the way, the elevator does not stop on the 2nd floor, so you can use the stairs. The twin room is larger than a business hotel, with desks, tables and chair sets. There was also a microwave oven, so it was convenient for breakfast. The refrigerator was also a type that cools normally. The windows were open and there was an air purifier, which was helpful for smokers. The bath toilet room is usually small. There are only minimal amenities, so you can bring what you need from the front desk. There is no door in the closet, so what was troublesome when it smelled was hanging to the bathroom. The front desk is only open from 13:00 to 7:00 the next morning. At check-out, I just put the key in the front box and went out. It was raining, so I called the taxi company directly from the front desk by private phone. There are some reviews that the cleaning is not well done, and to be honest, there are some places where the cleanliness is poor, but I felt that some things could be closed at this price.

The place is so strategic. And all around have marts and delicious foods. Staff are friendly and willing to give information and helpful. Definitely will pay a visit again!

Located less than 10 minutes walk from Kyoto Station. It was 9000 yen for 2 nights. Recently, the hotel in Kyoto has become expensive. Among them, it is worth staying at 4000 yen in a 1K type Japanese room of a condominium. The room has a Japanese room with 6 tatami mats and has a kitchen of about 3 tatami mats. Of course, it has a bus toilet. 1K I think I renovated the condominium to the hotel. It is a facility that has a considerable age, but there is no problem in particular. There is also a refrigerator, a 1.5L hot water pot, a washing machine (!!), and a microwave oven. There is also an IH heater, but there is no cooking equipment. Would you lend it to the front desk if you asked? There is a plum kelp tea and a dripping coffee. The washing machine was good. During this heat, I was able to choose a sub every day and was saved. The bathroom has a drying device and can be dried. This facility is excellent. One thing that was dissatisfied was the air conditioner. The sound is quite noisy and the temperature adjustment cannot be fine. If this is good, it is a full score, but it is a pity.

The decision to stay at the Moxy Kyoto Nijo was a last minute one. We had booked an alternate hotel but decided to utilize my Marriott Gold Status at the Moxy. Using points, I offset the price of our 2-night stay. I also let them know we were celebrating a birthday and anniversary which they surprised us with a hand written greeting on the room's mirror. They also gave us an extra round of ”welcome drinks” at the bar aka hotel desk. The hotel is located near the JR Nijo Station down the street from Nijo Castle. We had transferred from Kyoto Station via the Shinkansen from Tokyo. The hotel is rather new and very hipster. The check in desk and bar is open 24 hours. It's a cute boutique hotel with loads of amenities. Our view wasn't the greatest but we had a lovely rain shower, Toto automatic toilet/bidet, comfy Queen sized bed, small fridge, free water upon request, clean pajamas, and lots of electrical outlets. They also had a laundry center that we didn't use. Let me just say, the welcome cocktails are kind of small so order the beer or wine instead to get a decent pour. We didn't have complimentary breakfast at this hotel so we opted to go out into the city for our meals and snacks. However, they did let us use the espresso machine which put out a fairly good cup of coffee or cappuccino depending on your desire. As we were close the Nijo Castle, we walked visited the castle. The hotel is close to the train that takes you to the bamboo forest as well. Just down the street is a shopping street and local supermarket where you can pick up fresh fruit. Since we were centrally located in Kyoto, we made a quick trip over to Osaka on our first evening there. Just know that the trains stop after a certain hour so don't stay out too late in a different city without a way to get back. We were lucky in that we made our way back on one of the last trains out of Osaka back. While there, we also visited Nishiki which was a good ways away so take the subway or bus because our walk back in the afternoon was long and a bit exhausting. Check out was also smooth. The staff we encountered were great. We had a good stay at the Moxy and definitely would stay again.

The room is still too small, but the hygiene is really clean. I can give it full marks. The transportation location is very convenient. It is only 2 kilometers away from Takashimaya Nishiki Market by taking the bus and subway. The service attitude at the front desk is very friendly. It is best if you can speak Chinese. It will be perfect.

There is a private paid (1000 yen) parking lot just north of the hotel. It is convenient because the car can be in and out on the way. I stayed ３ for a single on the eight floor in a 9-story hotel. The service from ６ in the afternoon is great. What a free rice and miso soup. The accustomed guests brought a little side dishes in advance and were eating. ８ from the month to the service only on weekdays. The room is independent air conditioning, the floor is flooring and carpet. A slightly hard and comfortable bed, WIFI is fast and comfortable. The number of outlets is also enough. The tea service was equipped with coffee, tea, cups and glasses, and even a tea spoon that was only more than a luxury hotel. The bathroom is unit type, and the bathtub is a little more legs, but (a little luxury?) Mineral water １ this service is unnecessary. The microwave oven and ice are in front of the front desk on the first floor, so it is also suitable for consecutive nights. Breakfast is ５００ yen. From the richness of the contents of the menu, it is quite reasonable. It is a hotel full of services that is best rented bicycles (paid but cheap) for sightseeing in Kyoto.

If you are just looking for a nice hotel to rest in, this will definitely meet your needs, but the hotel is a certain distance from the attractions. If you want to visit the attractions, you will have to spend a lot of time in transportation. I went alone and the room I was assigned was a bit weird. When you open the window, you can see the building opposite. There are no curtains to see through. Although it is a bit blurry, it is scary... On the contrary, I think it might be better without a window... Summary: There is a very good shared space on the rooftop of the hotel. It is very good to take a rest on the rooftop. The hotel is very beautiful and the room is big enough. The room has no view but has a window to look directly at the building opposite. The room is strange because the location is a bit far away.

An unexpected incident occurred when I first arrived at the hotel. The order information was ”Kyoto Gojo Livemax Hotel”. The map navigation of the order was correct, but when I arrived at the hotel, there was no reservation information. Since I was unfamiliar with the place, I first asked the hotel staff to help confirm the reservation. The address and phone number are not theirs, and then ask the hotel staff to help find out where the address is? Then it was confirmed that it was ”Nijo Castle Livemax Hotel”, and I asked a ********* friend to contact the website to confirm. It was confirmed that the information was incorrect. I hope the website can strengthen it to prevent similar incidents from happening again. I thought I was going to sleep on the street. The hotel is not far from the JR station, so transportation is convenient. It is also clean and tidy. Even though it is a smoking room, there is no smell of smoke when you check in. If you need to change towels, you have to go to the counter to get them.
