The property was a highlight of our trip to Japan. The attention to detail of craft, the items and furniture used throughout were truly special. The bath in the window was incredible, we spent the afternoon sat watching the sunset.

We felt we were inhabiting a minimalist but exceptionally comfortable design magazine. There are so many aspects here to appreciate: The textures and colors create a sense of tranquility and warmth - everything artisanal. The quality of the hair & body products is outstanding. The bedding is a highlight and we slept well - electing the tatami room in Suite 2 vs. the upstairs bed. Then there were the m heated bathroom floors. The deep soaking tubs. The high ceilings with exposed wood beams. On top of that, we received exceptional service throughout the three-night stay. Sherry and Sergio went above and beyond in terms of securing restaurant reservations. Overall, this was a beautiful stay at a perfect location, not far from Kiyomizu-dera. Highly recommended!
