We have stayed here after staying in two different cities in Japan, and by far, this has been the nicest hotel within this price range. The location is almost in the temple, a two minutes walk will leave you in breathtaking gardens of the temple. The area is also close to plenty of restaurants and shops. The neighborhood is the famous Giesha neighborhood. Like many other spots in Japan, this place has been *** friendly in our experience.

Abit small room for that price. Walking distance to some temples. Easy accessible to stations.

Cleanliness was definitely not there as layer of dust can be seen everywhere (on top of the kettle, on top of the bedside table or dining table). Stains(water marks/from drinks?) can be seen on the table too. Location was very ideal just beside yasaka shrine. But need to walk quite a bit from MRT station. Convenience store was like 5mins away. Room was very spacious for Japan standard!

Overall it was a good stay and bedroom size pretty good but bathroom was super small. Amenities generally good but wished they had a laundry service or a washer/dryer. Also no space to really hang or put your clothes with only 4 hangers on a couple of wall hooks between 2 adults made things a bit hard. Location was great, right by geika area and a beautiful park+Tempel on doorstep, and plenty of public transport around as well.
