After spending a few days in Kyoto like a special forces soldier, we chose this guesthouse because of its location, and the experience was fantastic – a five-star review! 【Location】The location is excellent. We avoided the crowds to visit Kiyomizu-dera Temple in the morning, just a 10-minute walk away. We needed to take the subway to the Senbon Torii (thousands of torii gates), but it only took half an hour in total. 【Environment】Because of its proximity to Kiyomizu-dera, the surrounding area is full of traditional Kyoto houses, with no tall buildings. The surrounding hotels are all high-end brands. Walking back to the hotel late at night allowed us to truly experience the tranquil atmosphere of Kyoto. 【Cleanliness】The guesthouse was incredibly clean, a stark contrast to our hotel in Hong Kong afterward. 【Facilities】The rooms and common areas weren't large, but they were sufficient. Complimentary toiletries, slippers, and a washing machine and dryer were provided. We were mostly out and about during our trip, and it perfectly met our needs. [Service] The host deserves the most praise. Upon check-in, we received a handwritten welcome card, and the host appeared to be Chinese, as all communication was conducted in Chinese. The check-out time was 11:00 AM on the last day, but due to a severe flight delay, we requested a two-hour extension, which the host readily agreed to. He also told us to let him know if we had any problems. Not only did we check out late, but we also had our luggage stored for several extra hours, and the host readily agreed to both. We were truly touched!

This is a guesthouse-style accommodation. It's located a little outside the main streets of Miyagawa-cho. It's about a 15-minute walk from Gion-Shijo Station. There are many hidden gem restaurants nearby, so you won't have any trouble finding places to eat. The fact that the room is on the 4th floor and only accessible by stairs was a bit inconvenient.

Staying at this hotel was one of the luckiest things that happened to me during my trip to Kyoto ☺️ Although the ratings seem high, it's not an exaggeration at all. I arrived in Kyoto late and was exhausted when I entered my room to find the air conditioning already on and a warm welcome letter. The room was impeccably clean, and the environment was elegant and beautiful. The room had a refrigerator, tableware, and a microwave, making my stay convenient and smooth. The public areas were bright and cozy, with a washing machine, a place to cook, charge devices, relax, and even temporarily store luggage. I met the owner, who was warm and cheerful, making me feel very safe and comfortable, especially since it was my first time traveling abroad alone. It's worth mentioning that the hotel is very close to the subway and bus stations, making it extremely convenient for travelers. The area is very quiet, surrounded by highly-rated restaurants, and the Kamo River is a short walk away, while Kiyomizu-dera Temple is just a short walk away. The hotel's meticulous service made me feel that they truly considered everything from the customer's perspective, solving any problems we might encounter. It was the best hotel experience I've had in this price range.

Amazing! One of my favorite places to stay in Japan. The bed was perfect, everything is brand new, and they offer lots of amenities. It's right in the Gion district, close to all the main attractions in Kyoto.

The interior is fully equipped. Although small, there's enough space to open your suitcase against the wall. The only downside is the lack of an elevator; carrying luggage up to the fourth floor when leaving will be difficult because it's a corner staircase. Otherwise, the streets are beautiful at night, and there are bars and restaurants in the alleys. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. I love the atmosphere of Kyoto; it's very quiet.
