If 10 is the highest score, I'd give it an 8.5. Service: First off, there was a welcome card on the bed upon check-in, which is rare for a hotel in this price range. I encountered different front desk staff during my stay, but every single one of them had excellent English! This is truly uncommon in Japan! Plus, every staff member was very polite. Location: It's a bit of a walk from the main shopping street, but it's a quick stroll to Gion. For the price, this location is acceptable, and a short walk isn't an issue for me. There's a convenience store about 100 meters away. It's not super close, but still very convenient, just a couple of steps away. Room: The space is very generous! No need to worry about not having space to open your luggage! In Osaka hotels, I had nowhere to put my suitcase, but here, I can spread it out anywhere! There's a separate vanity table. I chose this hotel specifically because it had a dedicated table for makeup, which is a real necessity for makeup lovers! The bathroom isn't one of those all-in-one types; the toilet and shower are separate, which was another key reason for choosing this place. It has a natural wood aesthetic, which I really like. Compared to some hotels that look like quick, generic accommodations, this one has a very distinctive Kyoto flavor.

I stayed here on a business trip from July 16th to 17th. Although it's a bit of a walk from the subway station, I was pleased with the quiet location, as it's still quite close to Shijo Kawaramachi. The room was clean, and the amenities were well-stocked. The staff, despite being foreign, were very polite and helpful. I'd definitely like to stay here again.

The family room is perfect for a family of four. It has a separate wet and dry area, isn't too small, and the three beds are very comfortable.
